Is this a good laptop spec?

It depends upon what you are looking for, but for the average person who wants a laptop to do so basic work, e-mail, internet/Youtube, and light gaming, it's an excellent choice. The graphics power off the A8 APU won't allow you to play Battlefield 3 in high rez, but it will handle GW1 (and probably even GW2) at reasonably nice settings with good frame rates.
Basically, an equivalent i3 machine (with on-chip graphics) will out-perform it in benchmarks that rely on CPU power, but the A8 will blow the doors off the i3 in graphics functions like games and HD YouTube videos, etc. And really, what's more important - that your spreadsheet calculates in 1 second vs 1.5 seconds, or that you can watch video content smoothly?

Well i plan to use it for GW2 and programming. What made me attracted to it is the quad core feature, it being an APU and good graphics card. I hope it will run GW2 on a decent resolution.
