GW wont connect

Hey there,
never had this problem before but here goes...When I was playing on Wednesday, I tried to zone. And nothing happened, the map load just stayed on 100%. I left it for a few minutes and then I er7'd out. So I just logged back in and tried again, and still no luck. The map load either stays at 100% or 0%. I've checked my firewall etc, and had a look at some forums but I cant find anything that'll help. I tried deleting my dat. file. And I could load up characters once, but then they wouldnt be able to leave that town. And then once logged off that character, i couldnt load it again!! Any ideas?!

I doubt that the problem is on your end. It sounds more like a DNS error in your ISP, or some other internet glitch.

Are you connecting through a school or business network? If so, they may have installed a firewall or traffic-shaping software that detects GW as a file-share service.

I'm using university internet, but ive never had any problems before. It just randomly started mid game. The thing though which makes me doubt that firewall idea, is that when i deleted my dat file i could play any town that i hadnt yet downloaded the files for. But then i couldnt re-visit them afterwards...
