Hi there,
I'm currently in the process of filling out my HoM in preparation for the impending release of GW2. I've currently worked my way through the Prophecies and Factions campaign, but have become a little unstuck when it comes to achieving the Protector of Elona title.
I understand that there are 20 missions that you have to complete in order to get the title, and at various points throughout the story it will branch out, so you will have to return to certain points in order to obtain the 17 missions available on the mainland. However, the first 3 missions appear to be unobtainable for non-Nightfall characters. I've been researching for a few days to confirm or deny this, but I have found nothing but conflicting reports, so I come here in desperation for a definitive answer.
Can a prophecies character do ALL 20 missions in order to obtain the title? If so, how do I gain access to Chahbek Village, Jokanur Diggings and Blacktide Den?
Thanks in advance!

Just run to the outposts, they will all be open to you.
The first mission (Chahbek Village) is accessed by speaking to Second Spear Binah in Kamadan. That will give you access to the Churrhir Fields, in which you can then speak to Historian Laharo to gain access to the outpost.
You will need to collect your heroes as they each require the presence of one of them.

yes
for "blacktide Den" and "Jokanur Diggings" just walk into outposts
for "Chahbek Village" you "will have to head into Churrhir Fields from Kamadan and travel to the southeast corner to talk to Historian Laharo to gain entry. "

you wont have this as entries in normal elona books, but they apear in "you heroes of tyria" book and that migh be the confusion

Actually, they won't be given in the Young Heroes book until they're done in HM. When you do newbie missions in NM for Protector, you don't get any of the normal rewards except in your native campaign. Instead you get a message on your screen that you're "re-living" events that happened in the past.

Dont forget to do the missions for all campaigns in both nm and hm - the 3 titles when also done in hm will unlock another title. 3 normal protector titles go on in hm to become guardian and when you have the 3 guardian titles in hm it unlocks legendary guardian.
Its possible if your onto elonia to do the missions how i did it - nm then repeat in hm and that way its easier to keep track as both numbers will match.
Also you will get a split in storeyline in nf - 1st split is in kourna and is either master of whispers path or margrids and the next split is between koss and melonni. So its possible to complete nf and still have 2 or 3 missions missing which can be got after.
