Hi all,

Just finished for the first time EoN.
Actually my elementalist is in the Epilogue trying to figure what weapon to choose.
He has a 330 Elementalist build, and has two greens equipped. Joff's Focus and a Totem Axe.
I am thinking of selecting a Dervish weapon for my new character who I will play next.... or a weapon for a new Warrior

My Dervish choices to select are:
The Sythe
The Reaper
The Edge

I am thinking the Droknar Reaper may be the best choice, but do not know
as I have not played or read much yet about the Dervish.

Droknar Reaper
Slashing damage 9-41 (requires 9 Scythe Mastery)
Damage +15% (while Health is above 50%)
Energy gain on hit: +1
Energy regeneration -1
Enchantments last 20% longer

Does this sound like a good Dervish decision, or should I consider one of the other weapons. Thanks.

As for the WARRIOR... I have read even less about them.
What would be a very good choice for a warrior weapon... either if h goes sword and shield, hammer, or axe and shield.

Thanks for the needed input.

I would suggest getting a weapon for a proffession you already have which would be the dervish or elementalist.

Focuses are especially good to get from these sorts of chests as they come perfect modded, ie with a forget me not inscription on them. These are very expensive to buy!

With the elementalist update making fire buids so strong I would actually suggest getting a Droknars Fire Focus and trying out fire magic on your ele. I'm sure you will find it a lot of fun.

In the mean time I have a scythe with the same mods as droknars reaper that I'm not using so you are welcome to pm me in game and take it off my hands.

Hmmm.... KoD, you really gave me something to think about here... in regards to the FIRE and trying a diff build. When I first started the character I had a fire build, albeit not a very good one as I just mixed and matched stuff. Then when I got serious I found a very good 330 Earth build... which made playing through much easier and more fun.

I do presently have an Ilsunders Staff for my fire build, which is the same
as the focus and an additional 60 Hp. Wondering if the good fire builds go for more Health points.. where the staff is handy.. or do they go for the lower Health point builds.

Thanks for the scythe offer.. I will indeed try to contact you in game.

So if I do not use my DROKNAR KEY.. the only way back is to kill the big final Destroyer boss again?

Ah, the old "Oh my God, what weapon do I pick!?!?" drama when you're new... I remember it well.

As said, zealous or vampiric are good choices for scythes. You'll probably end up with one (or more) of each to suit various builds. You'll also likely end up with multiple swords, axes, and hammers for your future warrior. Practically no one uses only one build the entire time they play a character. Guild Wars makes it easy (and fun) to switch things up. So fretting over the "perfect" weapon choice is kind of unnecessary.

As was also mentioned, the foci are usually a good choice because, IIRC, the ones available with certain stats can't be found from collectors. And recreating them from crafters with mods can be pricey.

My main advice, however, is to not pick anything until you have a need for a particular weapon. With the exception of Prophecies, the last missions can usually be done pretty quickly (or you can hire a runner for pretty cheap to get through them quickly), and the bauble you get for completion is stackable. So you can just hang onto it until a need presents itself. That's what I do, anyway....

Haha! YES.. that is exactly what is going on LOL....

I am thinking I may hold on to the key... but I can not go back in unless I redo the mission is that correct?
Since I finished the EoN.. does it default now to hard? OR can I go back in NORMAL mode?

You can redo the mission at any time, in either mode. Finishing the campaign just unlocks Hard Mode, which you can switch in and out of in any outpost via the Party panel.

Edit: And yes, you have to redo the mission to access the Epilogue again.

None of the warrior weapons are any good. This is a PvE perspective.

Axe: Fortitude should be on an elemental weapon in my opinion, for attacking other warriors.
Sword: Sundering on a Sword is a poor choice.
Hammer: I prefer Defense, but I don't use Hammers often. This one might be OK; I don't know.

Strength Shield: -5 (20%) is inferior to -2 (stance) for warrior.
Tactics: Same as above, except maybe if it's for a secondary warrior ( /W).

Droknar's Reaper and Droknar's Edge are decent choices for Scythes. I'd rather have Defense on a Sundering Scythe, but that may be just personal preferences.
