Maintenance Notification – February 6, 2012

We are conducting planned server maintenance on Monday, February 6, 2012. The maintenance will start at 9:00 PM PST (5:00 AM GMT Tuesday, February 7, 2012) and will last about 4 hours. Tbh i had some issues during last week. Prolly not related, but hope that if is something due to servers will get fixed.

Or yeah, 3rd part of WoC could be near(which makes sense considering how close is GW2).

Server downgrade time....

Why would they downgrade servers when they will have a quite big influx of players with the final part of WoC? That would be quite stupid, wouldnt it?

If its a server downgrade I would like to know which individual at Anet to direct my hate mail to please.

Seeing as they haven't even put out the second part of the ele update, WoC is probably not on their mind.

Probably another friends list disconnecting bug fix.

My rl birthday is on Feb. the 6th, do I get a sweetroll from Anet or an arrow to the knee?

I doubt they'll need to do maintenance in order to release WoC Part III...

I'm constantly amazed at how reliable GW is as a game. This is like only the 9th time in 7 years we've had any such thing and if you read the note it says you may get disconnections not we're taking the whole game down.

Now compare this to SWTOR who not only takes the entire game down every week for 6 hours, it also takes out the official forums.

The way GW1 handles 'servers' with updates, patches and even infrastructure changes really is the best in the business.

Stupid is par for the course, and it would not be the first time, or perhaps you do not recall the last time the "upgraded servers" over a year ago, which here in Australia changed download speeds from 256k to 12k (and correspondingly higher ping times).

We shall see.

lmao, servers every once in awhile just need to flush the system. One person makes a joke and people take it to heart.

Well, I just got the "Guild Wars is shutting down now. Wish us luck, and if we don't return, remember us fondly"-type message.
I wonder how many people are currently running around Kamadan/LA panicing...

Woops, forgot about this and just got kicked in the middle of a vanquish haha, ah well..

Well, at least I finished that match in JQ against the bots before I was dropped...

omg what am i supposed to do from 1am onwards... sleep?! /outrage

Are these still ongoing?

My guildwars browser looks weird, no notifications on the right, and there's an abnormally large gap between the "Remember account name and security answer" and the "Create account or add key" is this because of the maintenance?



Oh, and when I try to log in, it says connecting for several seconds, the crashes and asks if I'd like to send a report to arenanet..

I was gonna report that , but cant. Yes still undergoing maint.

It hangs up if I click the X to close out of full screen mode ( windowed mode not affected ). If I input password and when the cancel box comes up, if I click cancel it crashed the game. However waiting for the cancel box to eventually return the err code = 058 you can click OK , then close the game without the AppHng or crash.
