Vaettir Farming Help

Hi,

I may be repeating a post, but I looked through the threads and didn't find any, so if I did, sorry.

Is vaettir farming in the far shiverpeaks of GWEN a good way to make money these days (I know you can get Glacial Stone, Mesmer Totem, and Gold Weapon drops, but how fast are you able to acquire these items before you have enough to make a significant amount of money)? If it isn't, could you please give me an alternative farm that makes good money? Thank You In Advance

It's slow... go feather farming :3

I don't use this farm so much to get rich, but more to get unid golds. I usually get quite a few of them and if you take Lightbringer Scrolls, you can get a lot of skill points for crafting consumables to either use or sell. I craft consets and sell them in ToA for UW farming.

Vaettir farming is rich in Mesmer tomes, glacial stones, and unidentified golds. You can keep the glacial stones and sell 100 of them for 20kish or salvage them into dust and sell dust stacks. Also, many of the weapons there salvage into iron, another wanted ingredient for consets.

The unidentified golds can be sold as a set of seven, and is a decent way of getting some change. But, vaettir farming is also one of the fastest ways to get experience and survivor. Bringing berserker scrolls, NOT lightbringer, triples the amount of experience. (2 Berserker scrolls cost less than one lightbringer)

Dont forget that vaetires is one slow farm - your not really getting stuff per run but more per hr.Say a run is 4 mins and you get say 6 items a run - allowing for merching etc thats maybe 12 runs an hr and maybe 72 drops.Remember you`re killing en mass rather than single kills so drops usually are smaller number.
Selling Glacial stones is going to be slow as well - especially when an events on as lots of ppl farm vaetires and markets flooded with glacial stones , when eotn first started stones were fast sellers.

Feather farming would actually make more money -approx 10k a stack is a 100% sale as well as any runes you get - ive had plenty of minor/major vigors , survivor , radient runes and quite a few times ive manged to get between 10k and 20k from runes on 1 run.Almost renamed it from feather farming to rune farming lol.

There are plenty of sources and stickies on this forum on making money.
