Hi all,
Trying to capture Spiteful Spirit, though scratching my head on how to do it.
I have read the below wiki page for tips, but still no go as of yet.
I may be missing something, which is why I am posting here.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Spiteful_Spirit
I have all 3 campaigns and EoN, though only have a little past Lions Arch
in prophecies so far.. as been focusing on the others.
This is my first question....
I just tried to capture it from Harvest Soulreign, in "Against the Charr".. but soon as he was dead, mission went to cinematic. I tried to skip cinematic, when I got back his body was gone and capture signet would not work. Anyway to grab it from him at all?
Also...
I tried looking for Zaln the Jaded (D'Alessio Seaboard (explorable area)), but seems this area is not opened up till "AFTER" I finish the campaigns?
Since I do not know the Prophecies campaign accept the early parts, below is where also the skill is accessible. Are these near end game areas?
Prophecies NPC's who have Spiteful Spirit
Sapph Blacktracker (Snake Dance)
Nighh SpineChill (Talus Chute)
Ceru Gloomrunner (Iron Mines of Moladune)
Zaln the Jaded (D'Alessio Seaboard (explorable area))
Thanks for any direction on this.
Elite Skill: Spiteful Spirit - How to capture it with signet?

None of the bosses you are showing are that far away, sure, it will take some time to get there unless you got the close outposts, but they arent end-game.
As for Against the charr, its noted on wiki that its very hard to cap his elite.
The easiest way to cap (without mentioning Tomes..) Would be Nighh SpineChill....
Leave from camp rankor, and just run a bit up the road, if he isnt there, map back, and repeat.
Good luck!

Olle,
Thanks for the tip on Nigh SpineChill, and leaving from Camp Rankor.
I did miss the sentence on wiki, thanks for pointing that out too.
Guess I missed it being a little frustrated in my two previous attempts.

D'Alessio Seaboard (explorable area) is only accessible if you have access to the War in Kryta content.

since you are barely past Lions arch MOST of the bosses wont even have elites--the way prophecies was set up, they didnt start having bosses with elites until the crystal desert...which is still quite far away. (when the mobs start being level 20 and your party size goes up to 8). So the bosses mentioned are mostly in the southern shiverpeaks.

If you have up to Lion's Arch in Prophecies, you should have Beacon's Perch by now. From there you can get a run to Droknar's Forge. This will take you through the Camp Rankor outpost. Once you have Camp Rankor, you can zone in and out of Talus Chute until Spinechill shows up closest to the door.
If you need don't feel like paying for a run, I'd be happy to run you gratis. IGN: Job Ox.

Ha! Well everyone.. thanks for the info and input!!!!
A couple hours ago I left Beacons Perch with my Elementalist, a Paragon hero healer and Dervish Heros... I had NO IDEA what laid ahead of me. I have briefly read before that the Droknar run is hard... and I have learned it is true. Especially for someone who has never did it, and had no idea where to go.. accept generally South. BUT.. I am glad to say I was successful on my very first attempt of heading down there, and picked up my ELITE signet capture of Spiteful Spirit too. Heh.. let me say that my Dervishes do not have running builds.. and I did not have anything "anti knockdown" equipped. I quickly learned why that is advised. I lost count after the first few minutes of how many times I landed on my butt. We all had a few deaths on the trail... but there was so many mobs it quickly worked off. I stopped at the Deldrimor War Camp along the way, and got VERY TWISTED trying to get back on the main path to Droknar. Seems I went by the enclaved exit a few times before I saw it, and was stuck in the maze below.
It was a blast traveling down from Beacons Perch my first time, and I do feel a sense of accomplishment ... having had no real sense of what I was up against. The Elementalist character I used is one mission away from finishing Nightfall, and has finished Eon... but even still.. I do not think I have seen such a varied sense of hard hitting endless mobs till now. We literally fought and killed every single mob on the way down. It was tough slugging at times, spent more time than I would of liked on my butt, and got turned around more than a few times... but I loved the adventure.
Thanks everyone for your advice.. and I hope this thread helps someone else too!
@Job OX.. Thanks for the offer of the run! Read that after I finished.

Alternatively.......get 3k balthazar faction, unlock spiteful spirit from the balthazar faction rewards npc, buy an elite necromancer tome, use it to 'learn' spiteful spirit.
jonaslol
Gratz ;D It's a rly cool elite for necros imo.

glad it worked out---
I have done the 'run' as well with some of my other character (and yeah..not knowing the area is a bit of a hindrance)...getting there on my own was an achievement I am happy about.
