I want a Vera Hammer, how should i get one...

Most of the guides I've found to kill Jayne Forestlight are kind of old or out of date. I tried clearing a path with heroes and using spirits but 1 or 2 of his entourage were consume soul rits, I tried wiping out the mobs around him, but it's even money that jayne survives long enough for me to solo. Obsidian Flesh and 55 won't work, as the warriors will dev hammer me. I'm about to try shadow form, but the bad guys have A-Rage, the knockdown shout, shatter hex, and the earthers have PBAoE....

Any advice?

Go with an all human group. Offer a bounty for the item that if it does not drop for you, that you will pay xxxgold for it.

If you are after the skin , perhaps getting a Hammer of Purity would be better ? Same look as the Vera plus you can mod it however you like

Jayne Forestlight oh yeah, that bastard lol... Best way for me is to farm him wth SoS Rit. Bring a full party of heroes , clear the way to Jayne (kill that mesmer boss that is before him). Make sure to bring a bow, and start pulling the groups far from Jayne, once he is alone, flag your heroes to one res shrine far away until their names are grayed out. Setup your spirits and kill him.

If you have a friend , you can duo, using this: http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:Team_-_2_Man_Spirit_Farmer , no need to bring heroes as with this build you can clear the area.

Also farm him in NM, for some reason, I was having more luck in NM than HM getting the Vera.

Like Aurora Summer said, you can get the skin now (Purity weapons) and you can put the mods you want.

I use a famine ranger with spirit shackles, the pull can be a little tough but once I have him right where I want him he dies in like a minute.
