Does the perfect kit give a 100% salvage rate over the Expert ?

I read on wiki that they are both the same but someone told me that the perfect kit has 100% salvage rate and the expert doesn't.

The perfect kit never breaks the item it is salvaging from, it's the expert and superior kits that are functionally identical and have a chance to break items. The sup just has more uses.

Ah sorry, i see the difference now, there's expert, superior and perfect. Thanks, I was confusing the superior with the perfect one, I didn't know that existed too.

Expert and Superior are practically the same, it's only the amount of uses and thus the price that changes. Their ability to salvage without breaking the item they're salvaging from is partially influenced by your Lucky/Unlucky and your Treasure Hunter title tracks, IIRC.

With a Perfect it doesn't matter what your title progression is - 100% of the time, there will never be a breakage.

Whatever you do though, DON'T waste Perfect kits on Heroes. Heroes are coded so that their armor CANNOT be broken because the game has no way to replace it - you can use a regular Expert or Superior on Hero Armor and always salvage 100% all the time.

Wisdom, actually.
Lucky and Treasure Hunter affect lockpick retention. Unlucky has no effect on anything.

Treasure Hunter affects both salvaging and lockpick retention.

Awesome! TIL.

Gives me incentive to keep working on my TH track, which I always found kind of egregious and pointless.

Yes, Expert and Superior function exactly the same, the Superior is just a little more expensive per use, but takes fewer inventory slots per use. Perfect always has a 100% salvage rate, your item never breaks.

IMO, only use Perfects on armor or weapons you can't afford to replace.
