Hi, I'm completley new to the game and just started playing to get HoM points.
Could someone clarify something for me regarding the armor needed to complete the resilence line for hall of monument points? I know I need four prestiege armor plus kurzick/luxon, vabian and obsidian armor.
For the four prestiege armor, does it have to be from a different class each? Or can I just donate for example like four different necromancer prestiege armor.

It needs to be four different sets; profession is entirely irrelevant. So you could get all seven sets on your necro, or one set on seven different characters, but you'd need to ensure you're not doubling up on anything (for example, if you got elite canthan on your mesmer and elite canthan on your ele you could only put in one).
Harvestlee
you can double up and It'll still count towards the HoM just make sure its a different type of armor SET for example (vabbian different from obsidian) etc.

I see, thanks to both of you for the help.

If you're new and trying to kit out your HoM in prep for GW2, ignore Armor and Weapons until the end because they're the most expensive things to fill up. To pad out your HoM to a reasonable starting base, go for titles that can be attained for cheap-as-free such as Legendary Defender of Ascalon in pre-searing, Survivor, the Protector and Eternal Hero titles (which you get from finishing the storyline and getting either masters or bonuses on all the missions - you can do two title tracks at once that way) and also the cartographer titles.
If you're a bit OCD about it like I am, you can knock over Cartographer titles at the same time that you knock over Protector and Eternal Hero titles, or you can go through and then marry your Cartographer title with Vanquisher titles once Hard Mode has been unlocked.
Load up on heroes and get their armor upgraded so that you can pad out the companion section of the HoM VERY easily and at some point either be a ranger primary or a ranger secondary and go cap yourself a Black Moa Bird and an Imperial Phoenix to satisfy rare animal pet requirements for HoM.
Minis are the next more expensive, but at this point in the game many people practically give away white mini pets that you can dedicate or you can buy them cheaply. If you have the time and the patience to farm the items and to go through the Shiverpeaks quest chain, the Black Moa Chick you can earn in-game will satisfy the Unique Mini requirement.
Once you've done those you should be looking at roughly 20-25/50 in the HoM and have a decent savings of about 200-300k in your Xunlai just from having played the campaigns through and that gives you a good platform for starting to collect Armors.
The EOTN armors are probably the cheapest ones to go for first in price and effort, from there your Factions Elites and following on from that your Nightfall Elites and Core Elites like Obsidian.
