After a 3 year hiatus from GW, I decided to come back and get 30/50 points in the HoM in preparation for GW2. Unfortunately, I forgot everything to do with GW. Can someone link me a easy to follow guide for HoM for 30/50? I can't seem to find one on Google. Thanks.

We have a HoM Guide stickied in the Q&A section. Not sure how "noob-friendly" it is, but as stated at its head, you can research anything you don't understand in the Wiki (pro-tip if you're coming back from a years-long hiatus: scrub all wikis that contain the word "Wikia" from your use).

My sincerest advice is that if you can't follow the guides you can find on Google, you should play the game some more and get reacquainted.

One way or another, you'll have to complete stuff in the game to make money or get the things required for the HoM, so I'd spend time having fun and getting familiar before working for points.

If you need help, feel free to PM me in-game as Mary Smith or anyone on that account.

Correct.

Google tends to not be a great tool for finding forum resources. As previously mentioned, read the sticky (while I appreciate the effort you spent searching, also try looking around the forum first as well). The Community Works forum has several threads on this also: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/c...works-f22.html

I'll leave this open in case you have any other HoM related questions.

I also had a noobie related HoM question that I couldn't really find an answer for within the guides...

What classes are recommended for a noob with the purpose to complete HoM quickly and efficiently?

I just started a Warrior and a Necro...but not sure of my choice...

----------

think I found a thread that will help me. Sorry I searched for "class" without knowing GW calls their classes "professions". Thanks

Whatever you have a good time playing with. I've done my hom split up on these professions: ele, ranger, sin, & derv. Mostly ele and ranger though.

You'll find guides recommending ritualist, I believe.... But you really shouldn't just blindly follow such advice. One guy recently went down that path and found that he disliked playing rits.
Like Kendil said, make your main whatever you like playing the most. All character types are capable of handily completing the content and filling a Hall. (I suppose the only caveat being that Paragons and Dervishes can't get Luxon or Kurzick armor.)

Most players utilize multiple characters to accomplish different tasks.
They'll use their main (whatever it may be) to complete all the missions and vanquishes. They might use a warrior, elementalist, or assassin to farm consumables. Maybe a ritualist to do Domain of Anguish. A PvP-dedicated slot for ranger trapping, or necro bombing, or whatever else they like for Zaishen Keys and Kurzick/Luxon stuff. Et cetera, et cetera.

There is no real silver bullet. Play what's fun.
