If you noticed the names of anyone that repeatedly crashed the server, send Gaile Gray a PM on the support forums with the names! Get them banned!

I'll be hiding in Maguuma Stade or Heroes' Audience until this gets sorted out.

They don't ban bots after they are reported. Why would they ban more than a handfull now?

There has been a lot of speculation in that thread over whether the people that were "just testing" the bug would be handed bans, but Gaille's bottom line was :
This thread, as far as I can tell, will be Guru's attempt to get as many names as possible of people talking about and subsequently using this bug to give everyone in their current district the big "007" disconnect error.
Please do not post them here.
Contact support here as per Gaille's instructions.
Remember:
we're not here to tell Arenanet how they should be handling things on their end, and they haven't responded to unsubstantiated reports in any other matters.
The fact of the matter remains, observe mode has never caused huge server problems in the past, and then this debacle. People went so far as to count down in all chat and hit the button, causing the disconnect... something seems amiss, not just with the original cause of the problem but also people "just joking around" taking advantage of it.
Thank you in advance to fellow Guru readers for being mature about this and following the proper guidelines.

And please consider this: What would it be like, if everyone who heard “You can crash the server if you do A-B-C” ran out and did it? More importantly, why would you do it? It’s like “Hey, I hear you can get electrocuted if you stick your finger in this socket.” Does anyone “test” that? If you hear about an exploit, tell us via any means on the contact Support page. (Obviously, you shouldn’t post an exploit in the forums.) At the very least, PM us here, although a ticket or email is preferable. And please stop speculating on what will happen to those who “tested” the exploit. That matter remains in the hands of ArenaNet and NCsoft, and it doesn’t serve any purpose to use this official forum as a hotbed of speculation and guesswork. I am closing this thread. Please do not start a new one on this or any related subject. Thank you. |

I don’t think we’re ready to talk about who will be banned and who will not be banned. We’ll be looking into this matter over the next couple of days, I’m sure. ~Gaille |

LOL. We pay, but they keep the game running and playable. That makes them pretty great in my books.
