i've had this idea for years, and i thought it would've been made here, but after searching and looking at the suggestion list, i didnt see it at all
now dont jump toward me cuz you think there's enough titles
this suggestion gives more than that
i'd like to see a "dwayna, grenth, lyssa, melandru, balthazar and kormir (not sure about kormir) title track"
like you do quests for 1 of the gods, maybe daily quests like in pre, which gives you points of that god into your title track
then you can get a blessing at such statue of that certain god, and by killing enemies, you get more points
for the more "i prefer just grinding" people: it could also be a quest which sint a quest, but a blessing by itself, so you can kill enemies anywhere, and get the points
note: you can get 1 at a time
the enemies should of course either give xp, or be lvl 20, and the last 2 tracks only continue on HM
and the quests could be some little story about the gods, where you have to work for each of them, just 1 at a time
then each rank can give you some kind of blessing, EXAMPLE: dwayna gives you 1...5 holy damage reduction (the next time you recieve holy dmg), grenth let you steal health from enemies near you (1...5% chance), balthazar gives +1...8 armor vs the next attack/+1...8 dmg with your next attack, lyssa gives 1...5% chance of gaining 1...5 energy for the next enemy killed within earshot, melandru gives 1...5% chance of gaining 1...5 health for each enemy killed in earshot
(dunno about kormir)
this all can happen as long as you have that blessing
i wanted to make it a bit stronger, but then consumables would end it for your whole team, or something
this is just an idea, and i'm a lil tired, so maybe i cant think off better extra's than these now
also, it should only happen in each area (exploreable areas only) IF you have that 1 blessing of your choice
i also wanted to talk about new pve-only skills, but i doubt Anet will make those, and if theyw ould, it should be ONLY active if you have that blessing, and you still can take only 1 each time (and the skills being worth less than most skills we have now)
just do exploreable areas, that'd be enough, not dungeons or elite areas (fow, uw, doa etc.), maybe not in missions at all

i was also thinking about making such titles just for proph back then, as LDoA was stupid and such, but we have these gods everywhere in GW
so letting us gain points from lvl 20's only, would make them not way too easy, and only obtainable points while under that 1 blessing
and having new quests with maybe god-fitting skins for weapons ( maybe uninscribable for the old feelings of having something worth alot ), we could farm/grind and do new quests once in a while... or everyday
and if Anet gets some more resources for armors, maybe getting god armors? and not like the costumes, just more old style, yet still having the style of that certain god
dunno if there should be some kind of "god arena" where people can pvp for their titles, instead of doing pve all the time (which may make pvp be more alive again)
what do you think? i mean, got some ideas about how this idea could become better?
(other than forgetting about it and leave GW as it is, which bores people mostly anyways)
maybe if talking about pve-only skills, making each god having 1, which is weak and only works if you have the right blessing on you?
i see lots of stuff happen with ministry lately, and before that, i saw shining blade VS white mantle and such, but havent seen that much from our ages old gods (ages both in the game and reallife time)

They don't have the staff or time or inclination to fix bugs that are known and years old, and you want them to what? Code a bunch of pointless additions with GW2 the only thing on their minds?

It would be a nice idea if it didn't involve buffs and pve skills. Those are a bad thing, and this would become another endless grind title as, for it giving benefits, everybody will want it maxed fast.
Also, I wouldn't see a things that complicated being added at this point.

1 is for GW and 1 for GW2
also, it seems that people like grinding
and small buffs wouldnt be bad, they would a bit with whatever they want to
and some pve skills wouldnt be bad either, not to gw or gw2
if you think anet is too busy with gw2, why even read suggestions then?
1 more thing: i didnt ask it to do NOW, i just shared some funny (imo) idea(s)

But then again, there's NO reason why they should involve ANY grind or game-breaking rewards like more passive bonuses, new PvE skills or any other crap like that.
I won't even mention that after the dawn of HoM, adding new titles, weapons or armour sets would disrupt the pre-planned balance.
The whole idea is, first of all, a few years too late, as well as just too far-fetched. And i'm not talking only about ANet's resources for GW1.

I always like new content, but I also think this has quite a few flaws as pointed out above.
New titles are always great, but it will automatically unleash a massive storm of flames of people saying that there are enough titles as it is, and that GWAMM is already easy to obtain.
Only way I see implementing new titles would work is to either add new content ( i.e. for all Gods but Balthazar and Grenth there could be new God realms related to a title, like fow and uw for Balth and Grenth right now) or by introducing a new game mechanic, either pemanently ( like HB was sort of a unique mechanic) or limited ( only a few times a year, like the gamer title works).
I strongly oppose the idea of buffs based on titles, as it would not only lead to a massive grind to get the maximum effect, but it would also promote rank discrimination ( i.e. only high ranked people in certain God tiers will be allowed in a group). Basically it would be bigger version of the title rank discrimination back in the ursan days ( the r10/r8 only groups aka 99% of the districts in gate of anguish). To remedy that the title should be easy to max, but when doing so you would get the "enough easy titles already" flame storm.
As for PvE only skills, I really don't care that much.
Personally I think the amount of PvE skills is fine, and that instead of adding new ones they should balance the current ones ( a nerf to SY! for example and a buff to some underpowered ones that nobody uses).
But as long as they won't be massive auto-win buttons like SY!, TNFT, and pre-nerf ursan I suppose it can't do more damage to PvE as it is.
I do like the idea for new amors.
I love new blingbling for my characters.
In short: In essence not a bad idea, but it lacks good ideas to implement it without causing massive balance issues or community grieving, not even mentioning the fact that Anet does not have the staff for GW1 to create things like this.

oh, i said i was sleepy yesterday, and mentioned the title idea in the topicname
i guess i just put some stuff together i had in mind
so if we'd just see titles without buffs or pve skills, that'd be fine, same with just armors and weapon skins based on the gods
and some new repeatable quests, which either occur once a week, month or year would do it too
heck, they could make a new (and probably smaller) content about the tyria (tyria as the GW world, not just proph) gods
but just some quests which maybe could be in proph missions, exploreable versions, that way my old suggestion would come true, AND we see more about these gods
tbh, i changed my mind a bit, and rather see those weapons and armors/costumes whenever they can give it to us without delaying other stuff of course (unless they think its good enough to delay some stuff a bit more)
at least some replies with ideas of what parts you think would fit most, that's what we need: someone giving 1 topic with around 5 ideas, and some saying which parts they do like, or something else about the same idea what they prefer

No new titles.

also said "armor or costumes" so didnt say they HAVE to be armors, plz read it well again, and see what i said before
and the titles are to me personally more titles than just HoM stuff, and i wanted something tyria god related
and i agree they should make derv and paragon faction armors, but i wouldnt be happy if they are all the same, like they are now, so let em make special ones this time
anyway, i said it before, i just want something new and nice to people related to the gods of GW we know since the beginning (since i dont care about abbadon and kormir, tbh), so i like it when people come up with more ideas or say which parts they like
but i never said HoM related stuff, maybe if they'd make that title available, but thats about it

While Factions and Nightfall have statues in every single Resurrection shrine, Prophecies and Eye of the North do not, so the quests would have to be given in some generic place like Embark Beach, or at the temples of the gods by the avatars.
The only thing I really like about this is the concept of a bonus given by doing random things around the world.
But I would make it a 'temporary title' that would eventually expire. And instead title tracks that increase, 'faction' that you earn and gets used to acquire the title.
There's several weekly quests for tasks that cycle, 5 per week, and you faction by completing them.
What tasks? Well, they would have to be things you can't fake, farm or exploit.
For example, if you give Dwayna points for healing others, since it's easy to get in a situation in which one tanks and others heal indefinitely without actually advancing or doing anything else, you'll have to limit it in some way, like the points being received only at the end of a mission, eye of the north quest, dungeon floor and vanquish. So people complete them.
For a task like opening chests for Lyssa's points, you'll have to count only those opened when there's no enemies in spirit range, to prevent people from just running around opening chests without fighting. For things like picking rare items, you'll have to make sure there's more people, and also check something is done and finished, so you don't get points just by farming.
Plain killings for are easy to count, but you'll have to limit them so people can't just get the points from farming.
Since Balthazar already has a faction, for his title you'll have to get Balthazar faction. Another reason to do some PvP is never bad, and there's many people that do not need Bathazar faction anymore, not even for Zaishen Keys.
With these quests you gain faction for the god, and you can use this faction for a temporary title and bestowed by that god, that comes with a selectable title effect.
The more faction of that go you collected and spend when getting the title, the more effective the title is and/or the longer it last, instead being based on a rank that increases over time by grinding points.
When the time runs out, the title expires and disappears.
Not some other thing to grind, but something as a bonus for doing different things.
Not something more to add to the HoM, but something that shows that you actually play the game instead staying in a few outposts farming or doing SC.

No more titles, no more grinding, it's called God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals for a reason. You've finished Guild Wars. Actually, you could say you beat the game simply doing the last mission in every campaign and even completed the elite areas.

If they should make content about the gods there is something I would prefer way more than a bunch more titles: Realms of Melandru, Dwayna and Lyssa. We got realm of Balthazar and a Realm of Grenth (FoW and UW) for years now I would have loved to see realms of the goddesses too, mainly Melandru and Lyssa as those 2 get very little attention it seems (Dwayna gets lots of attention and love during wintersday)
I am sure that realm of Melandru would look awesome, a fantastic mix of Echowald, Maguuma and Tarnished coast making something new? All kinds of beasts and plant creatures? Shades of greens, browns and golds all over the place... yep I would love that.
