Hi everyone!

...well, now that that's out of the way - right to the point!

1. I only have Prophecies and Eye of the North campaigns.

2. I currently have Gwen, Ogden, Vekk, Jora and Pyre FierceshotHeros.

3. None of their armors or skills are upgraded at the moment - they're just using the default stuff that came with. In fact, I haven't touched anything on them yet.

4. My main character is a Hammer Warrior/Ranger.

I want to know what you would suggest for me as a solid PvE Hero/Hench Build using only the guys I currently have in my stable.

All I want to do is EotN PvE quests. This is my first time fiddling with the Heros too, so I'm a total newb with this. I'm traditionally Anti-Cookie Cutter, but I'm having a rough time with certain areas in EotN and I think it's because my 8/8 groups are just poorly arranged.

So I need you guys to recommend builds for my Heros and which 2 Henchman I should take with me on my PvE adventures. I'm looking for a solid group that I can stick with for most situations.

Please link builds/templates if you can too! My experience with the Guild Wars vernacular is pretty bad.

So, I need some help filling in the blanks:

1. Me: W/R (Hammer, with just a Bow for pulling and a pet) + Elder Wolf
2. Vekk: ---?
3. Ogden: ---?
4. Jora: ---?
5. Gwen: ---?
6. Pyre: ---?
7. Hench#1 ---?
8. Hench#2 ---?

Thank you very much to all those reply!

my suggestion would be to just go to pvx wiki and look up the meta hero builds. compare those to heroes you have, then see what you can do.

there won't be one for pyre, since rarely do people use ranger heroes, other than Wenspire. i will suggest barrage for him, with interrupts and a pet. shortbow for weapon, imo.

Gwen - panic
Vekk - ER prot

No idea for the others. Henchies are pretty convenient to switch in and out depending on what you need. I like Lo Sha in eotn, Zho is sometimes useful, and both the eles are decent. Since you're physical, maybe you could try something like r/a for pyre, soh/ji on ogden, random stuff on jora, er orders on vekk, panic on gwen and run both monk henchies, but I doubt it would work out too well.

Esentially just keep playing and gathering skills as you need 'em. Just have both monk henchies until you can have a decent healer of your own. You might want to jump to PvP a little, since skills unlocked with balthazar faction are usable by your heroes. If you can manage to make a decent pvp build that is.

you should pick up Olias http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Olias and later on Livia as well. Necro's are arguably the best profession for heroes. A wall of minions can really relieve you of preassure and death nova does quite a bit of damage among many other useful spells, not to mention the passive for soul reaping, the perfect e-management for heroes.

Keep going with EotN to get Livia (Necromancer) and Xandra (Ritualist). There are a lot of options for both of them using skills from secondary professions.

Vekk - Fire or Earth for wards, depending on the area and foes.

Gwen - Panic or Energy Surge, again depending on the area and foes.

Ogden - Should be set up to cover you as well as the team. There are some Hero builds on PvX you can look at for ideas. UA Healers are popular now; they're ok if you expect to die a lot.

Pyre - Keep his bar as simple as you can. Ranger heroes like to use preparations, Nature Spirits and Natural Stride but often have to be forced to use bow attacks.

Jora - Take a look at PvX and see what's there for sword warriors.

Hench - If Ogden is doing his job, then you shouldn't need a second Monk so the henchmen I'd take are the Mesmer and the Earth Elementalist. If Ogden isn't doing his job (or if your account has very few monk skills unlocked), then take the Hench Mesmer and one of the Hench Monks.

Also take a look at the types of weapons your team needs and see what collectors will trade for them. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Collector_weapon

In Prophecies, I've noticed that birds can drop items that contain runes and insignias so keep an eye out for those. Sell the ones you don't need or can't use to a Rune trader, not a Merchant until you learn which ones are worth more gold.

I'm actually helping a guildie out right now who's in the same spot you are, so I'm having to rethink a lot of stuff. We're getting him to the Crystal Desert (asap) so he can ascend and start capping skills (elites and non-elites).

So, take a look at Hero and Team builds on PvX wiki to get ideas. The builds aren't cast in stone so modify them to suit your needs. http://www.gwpvx.com/PvX_wiki

You all are forgetting he only has Prophecies and EOTN. I used to be in that situation so I know what he's going thru.

Psychic Instabilty and Ray of Judgement are Factions-only skills. You cannot capture them if you dont own the campaign, even if a boss in EOTN has them. The best you could do is unlock them using Balthazar faction, but I dont know if that works. Then I think your heroes could use them.

Also, assassin, ritualist, paragon, and dervish heroes will also be severely limited by the few skills available in EOTN to use.

I highly suggest saving your money and getting the Factions and Nightfall campaigns from the online store as soon as you can. They are very much worth it and will allow you to experience the full story and all skills.

Yeah, Factions and NF is really cheap nowadays. I saw Factions in local store for only 4$.
