Stuck near Diessal lowlands in Ascalon in order to do Duke's daughter quest
WhisperinShadow
I got this quest from a guy whose name is Viggo located at Piken Square and started the quest with the assistance of 3 henchmen. However, the place where i arrived near Diessal lowlands on the road was surrounded by damn plenty of charr. They were not only so many but also powerful against my build also
party.
Anyone else tried this quest? ideas?

What level are you? Most of the Charr are level 6-8 so you should be at least 8 before you attempt this.
Your armor should also be at least at the following ARs:
warrior 41
ranger 31
all caster primaries 21
Did you try pulling? Make sure you flag your party apart so that they aren't all clustered. Charr Flames Wielders and Fire Callers should always be your primary target. Then Shaman's/Martyr's. Then Ashen Claws/Ash Walkers. Then everyone else.

If a non-primary quest is giving you trouble, leave it be for a while and return to it later. There are several such quests in the game. They CAN be done, but it'll be quite hard unless you're of high enough level.

You can also fight your way to Yak's Bend, grab 5 higher level henchmen and roll the quest.
I would just level up some though, just as Iuris is saying.

Secondary quests that don't give you any special reward are being done by the majority of players. That's because there's no reason to.
You level up to 20lvl very early and the real fun starts then.
I suggest you to skip secondary quests that you don't enjoy.

Doesn't the level of the henchmen adjust itself automatically depending on what area you are in or am I remembering it wrong?

A few rules of engagement I use:
Clear the area - so you have room to make long pulls or even retreat without running into more mobs.
Pull mobs away from the crowd. Set up a battle to your advantage, that is., flag your henchmen on a position with some advantages like a height, or a road curving up along a slope where they have to zigzag their way up. With the proper bends even stefan can ball them up.
Retreat timely and try to turn it into a 'long pull', have a bow ready and annoy the closest one enough to follow you while the rest return.
Or you can come back level 20, with heroes, and stroll through it, whatever means the most fun to you.

Maybe so, but if Aleshia Ashes are stumping our friend. I don't think he'll have much luck hacking through the Hydra's to Yaks; not unless RG can find a runner. That said, It's a good Challanging Quest, and good practice at the Art of Pulling.
I would not suggest giving up on it without another try or two. The Story Gains momentum after YB and you may well find you don't get back to many of the Ascalon Quests once you've made it out of the wasteland.
The XP and money are worth the effort, usually. After all, it takes a lot longer to level up to 20 if you skip the sidequests.
