PvE: Can it Be? A New Player?

I played for ~3 months when the game initially came out, then college happened. Now that I've graduated, gotten an income flow, and finally have some freetime, the coming of guildwars 2 is interesting me, especially the idea of legacy items.

So I purchased the trillogy, set up a new account, and started playing again.

I'm looking for a guild willing to take someone who knows almost zero about the game, and bring them up to speed, in exchange for a dedicate player until GW2 drops.
