I just wanted to ask, why is it that pretty much every single thread in the farm forum is closed?
So many threads that are having a good debate or discussion, a mod comes in and closes them for no reason, I thought the purpose of these forums were to make money ? No readers + No posters = No money. How do you achieve no readers and no posters? Close every single thread there is.
There are many other examples apart from the campfire forum but that one is the worse in my opinion, there are many many questions/discussions that are going unanswered because some mods who perhaps have been here for 7 years or so think that they should close anything that they don't consider a hard question, I'd like to point out that with the HoM and announcement of GW2 there are many many new players who have not heard of a lot of useful information discussed in these forums and perhaps they are being denied that information because there is a mod with some serious OCD/Server Space problem.
Just my 2 cents and the suggestion is: Perhaps lighten up on the mod closing power. If people are flaming each other by all means, I'm not saying that, ban them/close thread do whatever, but if there are people discussing strategies or giving out vital information that perhaps not everyone knows, stop closing threads.

Fitz

Have you tried pming a mod to find a reason(if it isn't noted in a close post which all Hall of knowledge staff do)
It only takes one iffy post to send a thread spiralling out of control.Sometimes it is much better to proactively fix it via deletions and/or closure rather than let it simmer and deal with it later.

I don't quite see how date of registration is relevant, you may have to explain that one to me.
It truly isn't a case of OCD mods. Throughout the forum there are plenty of stickied resources for pretty much all information required at this point. If this is not the case the search function works very well at providing answers.
There is even a massive and comprehensive HOM guide in plain view. There is no excuse for users being lazy.

Certainly. When people learn to read rules and stickies. An issue on forums across the entire internet, not just limited to here.
