In Game Chat Server DC Problem

Hi all,

My internet is a cable modem, and I have i routed through a D-Link router. For whatever reasons, the D-Link disconnects me from the chat server OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Has been a real annoying issue since I started playing last year.

When I plug my internet connection directly from the cable modem into my PC, I never get a DC. I read a post that said I may be able to change a setting to fix the issue.. but it was kind of cryptic as to where that setting would be.

I hope this is enough info to help, if not be glad to share more.

I am running XP Pro, not sure it matters.

What do you mean by the ingame chatserver?
You mean that you need to reconnect your friendslist? or do you mean a voicechat service like teamspeak or ventrillo?

Maybe you can add a screenshot of the disconnected status or desribe detailed what you see and where.

-edit- ow also please tell how often this happens, like once/day, once/hour, once/10 minutes, as soon as you reconnect? -edit-
