Kappa Farming

I was looking around for a way to farm Kappa with a sin and couldn't find any, im sure its been done before but just cant seem to find any builds so im wondering if anyone has one or could help me improve the one im using now.
I run an A/Me but its just really slow and can't find another secondary that can stay alive.

Due to turtle shell, it will take a really long time to kill them with regular damage (like in your video). I think switching out wastrels demise for ether nightmare might work a lot better. Health degen will kill them faster. You will also get the degen from CoP aswell which makes it a lot faster.

But what is the point to farm Kappas? I mean, what sort of stuff they drop?

Im guessing the kappa outside shing jea and not the ones further ingame.
I kno the kappa in lux area can pack quite a punch tho was only testing there after the old sf change a few years back and never really bothered with them since.

This works on a Mo/Rt too or Rt/Mo for anyone wanting to try.

Unsure if you know but there is another mob in the water which you didnt get - from where you start they are to the right side if you go that way - just under a small sort of arch.its 4 mobs - 1st is left of start , 2nd is right of start , 3rd is upper right of start but if you hold 2nd mob and wait the mob will patrol near you and last mob will come out a bit so its possible to aggro and hold all 4 mobs

wanted to try this farm today, but when i enter the zone i can only find 1 mob, you need a quest or so?

Awesome run Glorg. I tried 55/SS on the few outside Maishang Hills and it was nowhere near as fast but one thing I noticed was the gold drop rate was extremely low. Have you noticed the same thing at the ones in the Undercity?

it works if you argo 1 group at a time. I even tried 12 in insp for dmg reduction and a +10 vs cold and still had to hide behind a corner to kill them. Problem ends up behing energy managment, because you can't let them hit you then you drop to zero and can't cast SF.
Looks like you just snapped a picture right before you died
Just tried a few different things out and theres just not enough def, you can prolong death by strifing back and forth and casting wastrels every once in a while. killed a few but as soon as you stop and drop manta for DP to cast SF they either get you or drop you down low enough that you can't recover.

You should post a video for the Undercity Kappa because the Kappa that the OP was farming was outside of Gyala Hatchery (Maishang Hills) and his Wastrel's Demise was only hitting for 1 damage.
Which makes me wonder, do the Undercity Kappa use Turtle Shell? That would explain why you're doing so much damage.
Edit: I just went to go check and the Undercity Kappa do not use Turtle Shell which is why Wastrel's Demise works.

Let's chalk it up to miscommunication.
The Ranger build works nice for the Undercity Kappa - or any regular perma build will work there.
Another suggestion, for both Undercity and Gyala Kappa, maybe try using Elemental Resistance and Channeling. You'll get +40 armor for elemental damage and if you stand closer to the Kappa, Channeling will give you massive amounts of energy every time you cast a spell.
