Final Confrontation HM
Haodu
I've tried this 7 times in the past 2 hours, I just can't seem to get a team build that survives the last 10% of Grand Illusion before one of my heroes goes down, which causes a chain reaction. My heroes are currently running the 7Hero Player Support, but I've changed their builds every time (Consume Soul, etc) but nothing seems to work.
Help?

I used basicly the same setup (used the ST rit).
I used a UA monk instead of SoS, cause I ran SoS myself (was on ele char, to my own surprise it worked) and in stead of AoL MM I used another mesmer (E-surge)
I did include more hex removal on all the bars (or almost all of them) think thats the key in winning this.

This is not in the team build, but how you micro them.
When Zei Ri arrives (or a little sooner), recall all your heroes back from battlefield to the area you came from, so they won't be target of milion clones.
This is made the difference between fail and success for me. And tank hero, they'll waste all their skills on tank while you'll be killing them.
This and this may be helpful.

Whatever got you through the previous quest should be good here.
Like Sagittario said, I found that shifting your heroes back and forth
depending on how heavy the aggro is works.
Just don't move them all at once to protect against an aoe. Flag them
back about a half bubble one at a time. Then either move them back or
forth again depending on how things are going.

Bring two N/mo with prots/heal/curses and UA as the elite. Bring single target damage. voila!

People have problem with this quest? Lol
I flagged 3 hero in 3 different spot all henches behind in one spot and talk on skype with my friend while afk because it's soooo boring fight. Worst boss fight ever ._. Then mass npcs run in and kill the boss. I use ST rit + ER ele and regular mesmer rit set up.

For some reason the last time I helped my 2 friends do it with my roj team, we had trouble. If you read wiki there's rit and mesmer skills that deal well with the summons. So I threw together a rit/mes and used the recommended skills and added skills for e management and more damage. I also added that anit summon skill to my roj bars. Flagged heros in half circle between the stream and the rock/tree towards where her help comes. ST rit was flagged just behind stream so Shelter would cover my heros and the rit was out of aggro. Took em down in 5 mins. Which was 2-3 min faster than my 3 other runs.
So flagging, recommended skills, anti summon skills, st rit, and whatever got you this far should be enough. I can show the build once I get home if you are still having problems. Gl

You'll have to give some idea of what's killing you, when I did it my party bars never dropped below 50% I don't think ...
That said if your problem is one hero dying leading to a chain wipe, the easiest solution is to use a UA Monk. I don't remember what 7HPS is like (other than it's subpar, lol), but if I remember right it has a Paragon? Simply replace that with a UA then. Or if it has a RoJ Monk, replacing RoJ with UA will work too.

nah, better do it the safe way, run up past her across the stream not triggering her, and take a left
(layout is an ra map) so go to the top right of the map around a small brook- flag up heros and dont ball em, then activate her, slowly pulling her and killing everything nearby

Lol, only 2 hours?
Me and my wife spent 15+ hours trying to get this done and trying many different hero combinations and placement scenarios.
We ended up beating her with 3 Healing Monks, Warrior aggroer hero with "Watch Yourself", 2 Discord/Healing Necros, Warrior (Me) wielding a bow and using poison/incendary arrows to spread conditions and Ritualist (My Wife) using SoS and spamming spirits up on the cliffside near the bridge.
Hope that gives you an idea and can help you devise your own plan of attack.

Seem to be able to easily get to under 10% without ever going under 90% of health but after that 1 hero dies and rest wipes with him. Tried moving heroes back and forth but still wiping at 1%.

Edit: finally completed it without even changing a thing. Bad luck I guess.

Made it without any problem with 7 heroes, had 1 ua heal and n/rt healer, rest was damage. Just get something to tank, you also get allies all the time to help so it should be easy
