Being Able to ID entire bags
Wika Sham
Okay, I know this sounds really stupid and unnecessary...but I wish you could just double click your id kit and click on your belt pouch, bag, or whatever it may be and Identify the entire thing. Would make chest runner's lives so much easier

maybe perhaps if they made a new id kit which has 1 use but cost 1k, double click and id everything in inventory

Not stupid at all, it would be very nice and useful and I recall it's been suggested already in fact. Anyway from me it's a /signed ofc.

It's one of those things that makes too much sense for it to be added.

I looked after I posted /facepalm...but looks like an ID All button was suggested, this would take even less work to be implemented...just to be able to use the id on the bag itself...nothing would really even have to be added

I might be a bit odd, but I always enjoy the thrill of id'ing something and looking what comes out
So even if it would come, I won't be using it.

Just sayin'
bleh
I like it!
Would make all players lives easier
Otherwise you could errr "copy" Diablo 2 with Cain.
I.e.: NPC offers identify all option (with a cost)
or even: click ID kit once and then click one item after the other.
I.e. you don't have to click ID>item>id>item>id
just i.d.>item>item>item>item untill kit runs out :O.

Would be very useful, if you just clicked on the bag it took at appropriate amount from your ID kit

Ye, but its a bit different when you are running areas just for chests, (like boreal) and all you get is shit items not worth anything. Different if its like...rare OS weaps ^^

I remember many "id all" button suggestions, but this sounds quite better.
Currently using the ID kit on a bag will just work like in an other item, and try to change its "identified" flag.
If using the kit in the bad identified all items in the bag, it would not just save us a lot of time.
It will also save our hands a lot of pain.
I will ALWAYS agree with hand-health features.

Not just this, but there should be an Auto-Identify feature for every drop you pick up.

So one could just put the interesting stuff on another bag and id all bags but that one :P At least, that's how I see it.

its a good idea, but has a drawback:
there are items which can be IDed, but dont do anything, like white weapons, dyes and certain (quest)items, even greenies can be IDed
make it doing only items with the word "unidentified" and i'll agree with it for 100%
also like the idea of clicking twice on ID kits, and being able to "chain ID"

All unids buyers would praise you for this if it was implemented.

You can allways make a macro to double click ID kit, click slot 1, ID kit, slot 2... to save some clicking ... not sure if you can get banned for this.

This is very true.. It is a real pain in the ass, especially when you're dealing with armors and runes, and purples you don't care about, having to go over all of them can take a while.

Each use of an ID kit costs 4 gold. The average increase in value is more than 4 gold. It's not a waste. (Well, it might be depending on how you value your time. But that's what this thread is about.)

Im pretty sure this would be extremely hard to code into the game.
For starters there isn't any way to currently target more than one item at a time in the game. If this were already in the game it might possibly be feasible but in it's current state this is impossible. Im not against the idea of it I just realize that it would take entirely too much effort to implement something like this.

How about that if you had the ID-all kit, you could click on an item and then all items of that color would be ID'ed

Double click ID kit, Use active ID kit use on the actual ID kit = ID all unid. items in inventory in order from slot 1 to XX, 1 use per item. Promt to comfirm and then weeeeee. Something like that perhaps.
Totaly makes sence makes sence.
The main thing is to still leave the option of Identifying single items for those who prefer it e.g Unid Gold Farmers so he doesnt screw himself over trying to identify a particular goldy he wants to keep for himself.

That's included in the OP, as the propasal is IDing a single bag, not all the inventory...so you simply put things you wanna id and things you don't want in diff bags, makes sense to me, more than either having to id all together or all at once

It would make the wisdom title a lot easier. It should be done properly like the rest of us had to.

hows it any different from clicking alot?
its just a lil easier to ID stuff even if its not gold items
and some items can be ID-ed while having no advantages, so you'd have to put those in storage to avoid that
and if its just gear you can ID, then its not realy "a lot"
besides, you dont NEED to use it, and its in no way making that title itself easier, maybe a lil bit if you have empty bags and buy only gold unidentified stuff
so i dont see any problem with this
please explain how it can make the title or game easier... easier, not faster
anyway, it would be good if they do it, but i rather see em first do other stuff myself, tbh, stuff which would do more good to GW
but i hope they'll see this topic to see what they can do
