April Fools

Let's get to the point. What do you expect to occur in Guild Wars on the first of April, otherwise known as April Fools Day?

Something no one here guesses.

In game, no idea. But I'm quite certain they'll change the website at that moment, and that they won't release the "real" design at first.

Last April Fool's Day was amazing. Hopefully they don't do something stupid like turn us into pets.

Loved last year's. I hope we get something similar this year; I miss frags and bangs.

I miss corporal bane u.u! I admit that was my favorite April fools in gw although I really enjoyed the stick figures too, I hope they do something awesome this year

Gwen dolls everywhere. Every single moving object in the game should be transformed into a Gwen doll of appropriate size. Even those fishies you see in the water. Forever!

PERMA BAN every body at first log in, then glitch the game and make it laggy as hell

I'll be a happy camper if they bring back last year's content. THAT was fun!

If they do anything in addition to that, it wouldn't break my heart.

Aprils fool gotta be a surprise so they wont ever do the same thing 2 years in a row for sure.

The thing about the one last year was that it really divided people. Some loved it and others hated it... I was among the haters... kinda... but that was especially all the people shouting for more of the same months after... 1 day was fine. But the begging and suggestions that followed was ridiculous, it was not THAT good lol

Anyways I will leave it at: they are gonna surprise us with something no one here could possibly guess.

let us do the parallell versions of missions, being bad guys killing rurik and such

would be funny

hmm, let desert wurms spawn in all exploreable areas? or maybe in a quest where you go back to pre, like last

they also could give pre sear april fools quests, bit challenging, and reward = charr bag? i dont care, as my perma pre has 2, but it'd be a nice reward

or maybe let random dyes drop from enemies?oh, i mean "random dyes" so you dont know what color they are

make a "nicholas collector" which gives you either exploding gifts, or gifts with 50-100g
items he collects = wintersday collector items
and to make it worse, those gifts cant be opened on april fools day o_O
to make it a little more fun.... make them explode and dmg you (the user) and all adjecent foes for 50 dmg, and you get a "summon sickness" for 1 minute after every gift

enough jokes for this year? (and the next ones, lol)

Replace all in game music to a Rick roll and remove the ability to change sound settings

Well, if we exclude the fact that 80% players reacted to last year's quest as " yay let's max our vanguard title in no time", it still was about time travel, going back in pre-searing, using a cool skin with nice skills...

Anyone would probably wonder why the heck did it only last a few days, if you consider that pre-searing travel( although it's a quest) is something many want, and if you consider the time it required to do..( compared to a few useless bug fixes)..

It's nice to get something original, and i'd expect something between the 2. Not a big content to make us mad, nor being disguised as a gwen doll( it's fun, but 10mn later...)

if they want to showcase gw2--do it at the birthday celebration (it would have only been a few weeks), april fools is a JOKE--that quest wasnt much of a joke more of a 'hey, we want to prove we are really still working on gw2!'...

though if they want to continue to push gw2...make everyone slyvani or charr or asura for a day....(and give us a taste of the sweet armors they will have too---)

I would love to continue last years quests and maybe see rewards that use the baton and riot shield skins. Last year was, by far, the best April Fool's Day ever.

The last few years it seems I haven't been active during April Fool's, but I'll always log in to see what the joke is. Last years quests were the first one that I didn't log in, and log back off after 1 minute.

as always there will be a fake patch listed on the site that includes ridiculous skill changes

and there will more than likely be something for GW2 as well.

You revert to level 1 and have no attribute points if you leave town with a hero or henchman in your party... *shudders* in all seriousness though... I just hope it's not another repeatable exploitable quest and it's something relatively original and amusing.

I hope there will be some joke flux to freak PvP players out.
