....still here for GW1, definitely here for GW2.
Hello and welcome,
You've found this, the important GW Guru guild-recruiting section, for a reason, likely because you're unhappy with your current guild, or new to the game. Maybe all your old friends seem to have just stopped playing and it's time to move forward. Maybe you're sick of the elitist players you've surrounded yourself with, and that negative attitude is wearing down your desire to play. Maybe you've tried to get through a mission a number of times and you're stuck, can't ask for advice, and don't know who to turn to. A large number of active Guild Wars players are just like you. Your guild just can't relate, doesn't care, or isn't even there.
I don't pretend to be your answer to everything....
But I've answered more questions from players than I can ever recall answering, and this guild is ready to grow once again.
When you join us: you're sitting down at the virtual open bar as a respectable comrade. You can chill out and enjoy your time without trolls or adolescent issues, start up a team for whatever crazy adventure you're after, or join someone that has their own crazy plan in mind. Be mindful that every week we are planning a group outing or two (hopefully challenging), and you can keep yourself posted either by the guild announcement or alliance & guild forums.
Our Philosophy:
To be kind and respectful towards your fellow gamers is the essence of being mature. To know that the person sitting behind the computer screen on the other side is there to have their own entertainment, not to be there for your amusement, is the reality.
We joke, we have a lot of fun laughing at each other and ourselves, but we never tolerate anyone making other people feel inadequate, or judged.
Common sense, common decency, and common goals.
What you should know about us:
Quote:
[iMud] was founded more than 6 years ago on the idea that being a friendly group of people to play with was vastly more important than being high-end, veteran, hardcore players with loads of skill.
We're currently in a phase of "going back to roots," taking our old mottos and dreams to heart and moving towards that quaint, barroom community atmosphere, once again. You can call me Dan and I'll try to remember your first name, if I can
We're Kurzick, part of the Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP] alliance, full of friendly, respectful individuals (violators routinely kicked)
Without faction farming, we've been able to hold some towns recently, although it fluctuates over time
A wide variety of experiences and ideas of what you might keep busy with, such as:
Dungeons
A moderate amount of speedclears, like UWsc, FoWsc, SoOsc, MTsc, practicing and experienced teams, including what our allies do
Occasional balanced, "normal" runs of UW, FoW, DoA, The Deep, Urgoz's Warren, with plenty of experienced guild/alliancemates to work with. All you need to do is express your needs for these and be willing to work & learn.
Occasional GvG, HA, or synced FA/JQ, all depending on "flavor of the day" interest or zaishen combat quests. (GvG is really picking up steam this spring, and our rank has been fluctuating a lot )

What you might want to know about me:
I'm a relatively veteran player, but instead of focusing and grinding on just one thing, balanced my time between PvP and PvE, dabbling in pretty much every aspect of the game. I'm great at working up hero builds and like to be experimental with my pvp builds. Whenever I'm not too busy, or haven't got my heart already set on what I'm already doing, I'm glad to help out a guild or alliance mate with something, and always quick to answer any questions that I catch. Also I'm on both teamspeak3 and vent nearly all the time while playing, ready to chat (yes, multiple conversations at once >_<).
What I ask of you:
Be respectful of all your fellow players always, and follow the alliance chat code of conduct.
Everyone has their own ambitions and chores, so it's not fair to ask for help or a group up, expect an immediate response, and get upset because they're "ignoring" you! Everyone gets busy very often.
Know your limitations, being honest when you're trying a part of the game you've never done before.
Be brave in the face of adversity, trying new things, because we all know what it feels like... there's a first time for everything.
Open up the chat box and be friendly from time to time, because there are literally an unlimited number of things to potentially talk about, and we like to hear your point of view.
Do your best not to ever go more than 1 month offline, because we'll come to the conclusion that you've simply stopped playing.
What's the bottom line:
Come here to share a laugh, not too inappropriate of course, and get together to have fun with us and our wonderful alliance, without an overbearing sense of pressure to be great at the game (because we all have real lives to lead and don't need that kind of nonsense).
