Did someone manage to get past the portals?
They're not solid walls but several objects (I know this due to the invisible wall being curved and characters running into it when you click on the ground past it) like the npcs in HA, which can be passed as well, but I had no success.

EDIT: You can see the shadows of these things, if you turn shadows OFF! It looks exactly like in HA.

The younger you might say funny things; my nec said something like "i can't understand people wo don't become necros. I think i'll just find myself 3 other necs and we'll do everything alone"

Also, I don't think it's once in a lifetime since the 1st one wasn't. but one can never know with timetravel...

I mentioned in the April Fools topic he has alot more random dialogue now.

Also, some/lot/all npc's have another quote they will only mention once when u appoach them. Gate Guard Torin's is somthing about what profession u are cos he likes your armor (referring to the Golem''s appearance).

Captain Osiric thinks the golem is the birthday present for Althea.

Besides that, one time at Althea's theatre I witnessed a conversation between Reginald, Odette and Harner about a play that wasnt finished (written) yet.
Wonder what thats about.

Apparently all nightfall characters are time travelers now

If you talk to yourself (lol) you say something like "Oh, so you came through a time portal, too? Take me back when you're done, First Spear Devhad is probably wondering where I am".

One of the NPCs in ashford probably references the GW2 WvW battle in Khylo, "I haven't seen one of those since the Guild Wars" (referring to your golem)

I thought this quest was awesome!

1) it takes place in pre-searing

2) all the references to Terminator 2

Growing up in the 80s and 90s I loved the Terminator movies so I really appreciate what they did here. G-1000! Epic! Great job Anet this was fun and very nostalgic..you combined Terminato rand Pre-Searing, perfect!

Also, ironically, storywise u may end up being (partially) responsible for the Searing happening.
Shortly after u approached Rurik, a Scout shows up saying in the Northlands Charr are preparing to do somthing with a large cauldron.
Right after Rurik responds to check it out, he notices the Golem (u) and he ends up going with u resqueing Gwen.

EDIT: oh dear
Outside the portal gate into Ascalon City, when u go to te left past the shrine with Lina and were Gwen usually is, towards the water. Your past-self reminds Rurik if that Charr Cauldron shouldnt be checked out. Rurik responds that if it was important the Golem would have mentioned it

Is that the biggest joke, that U (well, and Corporal Bane) end up being responsible for the Searing happening

Well I thought about this too, but maybe it is more important that Gwen establishes Ebonhawke than it is to prevent the Searing?

But yeah once you get thinking about Time Travel all sorts of things get screwed up
