HOM Status: http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=d...AAAA AAAAAAAA

I know it's kind of all over the place being that I haven't completed the campaigns... but I really need a plan of attack if I'm going to try to get more done prior to GW2. I know you can continue working on HOM after GW2 release, however I don't on it.

I'm almost done with Prophecies missions (with bonus)... If I finish Factions/Nightfall as well that should give me +5 points. (Protector/Hero of Tyria/Cantha/Elona - Any Statue +2, 5 Statues + 3)

I can change my secondary soon (about to ascend). I'm currently a W/Mo, should I do that and tame a pet to get it to 20, then try to get the Black Moa. That would be +4. (Pet +1, Rare Pet +1, 5 Companions +2)

Then I need to somehow find unded. rare/unique minis (that are affordable), + 7 white ones I don't have. That will be another +3. (Rare +1, Unique +1, 30 Minis +1)

So then my HOM would like this:
http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=d...AAAA AAAHAEIA

At that point, what would be the easiest thing to do? 5 weapons (including 1 each of Des/Tor/Opp)? Or could I attempt to get 1 PvP status? How hard would that be?

Keep in mine I currently don't have a guild and I'm playing only 2-3 hours a day. Should I just stop at 20 or is it reasonable to get to 30?

Thanks for any and all advice...

Considering that we still have a few months for GW2, it's perfectly possible to get to 30/50 (provided you work strictly on HoM with your playtime ).

The weapons come easy enough, with the Tormented being the hardest to obtain (lots of 2-3 hour sessions of DoA SC + .5-1 hour searching for a PUG). You would need 6 full runs doing the NM version, or 3 full runs doing the HM. You might have to extend your play sessions

The PvP title is quite possible, especially if you have friends who can help you find a group for RA/HA whichever one you go for (Zaishen is out of the question for you, unless you have a hidden stash of unmentioned wealth ). You don't necessarily have to embrace the PvP community, but it helps you keep a good focus on what your working on (especially if you want to get the title within the next couple of months).
Note on RA: Always active; you'll always find a group to play with/against regardless of the hour. Drop in/out format saves a LOT of time IF your getting good groups/not losing.
Note on HA: Only active during European afternoon-evening hours. Active hours are generally the only time you'll be able to play unranked, thus going through RA is easier in terms of forming, but HA has the potential to be faster if you can make friends with the higher-ranks/farmers.

TL;DR:
-5 weapons for facesmashing PvE.
-PvP if you desire a larger circle of friends/acquaintances, a challenge, and far less sensitivity when playing.

30/50 is what i would aim for imo

get one gold and a unique (do black moa assuming you have all the campaign, its a free green).

Beat campaigns like you said, bonus would also help with protector title
If you've beaten faction, do last mish and capture phoenix, easy rare pet.

Complete war in kryta, upon completion you should have at least almost enough for 2.
Keep all diamonds and onyx you get, so you can get destroyer weapons
Tormented weapons is a bit expensive, so you can do DoA if you got the time, or buy it.

max easy titles, and get cheap hero armor.

Farm some hero armor (really not time intensive at all)
Do protector/guardian for all 4 continents
Elite armor (obsidian counts for 2 in progression as well as vabbian)
Do skill hunter/ cartog while others. Bam,

It's really easy for 30/30 HoM especially if you play for 2-3 he's a day. Just keep focus!

Thanks for all the advice. I got 3 points last night by getting armor for 2 more Heroes and getting a rare mini.

My main is a Warrior/Monk and I don't have any skills unlocked outside of that which means all my heroes, well, suck. They can't use any PvX Wiki builds because I don't have the skills. I'm not sure I want to waste time doing PvP to get them, nor do I want to start another character of that class to unlock them...

Given that information, can you recommend which heroes I should bring with me, knowing that most of them are going to be default skill specced unless they are a warrior or monk?

Here is the list of Heroes I have unlocked: (* indicates upgraded armor)
MOX
Xandra*
Vekk*
Ogden Stonehealer*
Jora*
Meloni
Gwen
Livia
Dunkoro
Tahikora
Koss
Pyre Fierceshot
Olias

To be honest, looking at your HoM and how you don't have a majority of the skills on your heroes, I would suggest simply playing the game some more. Unlock those skills, complete missions in their entirety and when you beat a few campaigns, come back to the HoM.

Don't stress out about the hall of monuments right now. Play the game fully (complete all missions with bonus) and you will already have some statues for the HoM. You will get enough money playing through the game to buy an elite armor of your choice. I would suggest the luxon armor because that is another cheap hom point.

My point is, you get a lot of the points for just playing the game, so have fun and good luck.

The suggestion from other posters to finish out the respective campaigns (with bonus in Normal Mode at least) is likely the best way to at least start.

I'm not 100% certain, but if you also change your character's secondary to other professions, even if you never plan on using them, it should unlock some other basic skills on your account that you can use on your heroes.

Check in with the Hero Skill Trainers as well...they will offer additional skills for your heroes in exchange for the hero skill points those heroes have been earning. The NF trainers also offer Title Track skills (under the option for "Sunspear skills") that only your character can use.

And one other note...MOX automatically has "upgraded" armor when you get it as a hero. You can go and add it to your HoM now as-is

Edit: nvrmind note about MOX, just saw that your HoM link already shows MOX as dedicated, tho you don't have that indicated on your list a couple posts up.

for the pvx...you can check which elites are needed and once you have ascended/wen no su/hunted you can change your secondary (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Profession_Changer) --you can cap elites skills from your secondaries to help round out the other skills you can unlock as mentioned above with skill points--also you can unlock regular skills for your heroes without creating a character of that profession by ...changing your secondary to their primary (so to get necro skills change to /ne, etc.), finding out which skill trainer has the skills and buying them from that trainer (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Skill_trainer) this would help your heroes (and you) play the game more effectively.
