Allow Flash Enchantments to be cast while VoS is up

I can understand about not having others cast spells on you (even though no other class has this limitation), But Dervish's should be able to cast flash enchantments on them selves. I never understood why they did not change this with the update.

I always thought the name was self explanitory - Vow of Silence - means the person cannot speak like the old monks who took the vow.If you have vos therefore you cannot speak the spells needed to work on you - dont know why but a lot of rpgs seem to assume all spells have to be spoked and i always thought spellcasters were able to cast their spells without even having to say them.Tbh it reminds me of some of the asian martial art films set in the past where the fighters call out what move they are making.

OP needs to give a reason why it would help the game. Balance, build possibilities, whatever.
But whether they technically "should" or "should not" work by the legalistic definition of the rules is irrelevant, what matters is the actual effect on gameplay. Unfortunately the OP has no reason to support his change. Renaming all "flash enchantment spells" to "flash enchantments" would be a simple change, the question is whether it is a good change.

Flash enchantments may be immune to dazing and do not require 'vocal' part.
Still, that's just 'lore'.
Mechanically, it is a spell that prevents spell targeting.
And it's one that can be easily maintained.
Spell targeting prevention is something really "expensive" in balance terms. It must be huge downsides, since spells are the majority of GW's skills, and this makes you immune to all of that.
If you ask me, spell targeting prevention should have never existed on the first place, like fast-recharging interrupts.

More terras = less waiting around spamming LF t1234 LT MT
less time wasted = more runs
It does not necessarily have to be the Derv's VoS skill... It can any profession. I only say VoS cause its a a good candidate, and can easily be modified to fill the void of missing terras.(and seems easier to balance, without it being over powered) They could just as easily adjust Spell Breaker to once again be viable. Though I'm not too sure a monk could pump enough damage to justify taking one over a assassin.
As far as balance goes.... How balanced is it to have one profession that is hands down better than every other profession in filling a roll in which required in all Elite areas of the game... and are in short supply?
Seems like common since to me, to broaden the pool of available players to fill this roll. If Terras were not needed in EVERY SPEED CLEAR IN THE GAME( save one) than I would not have such a big problem with it. As it stands now.....Guild Wars is unbalanced because of the limitation of all other professions compared to the Assassin.

The only other alternative would be to Nerf SF again. But since the whole economy of the game is based around this skill working, that's not a viable option.

I'm not going to argue about it since i already did somewhere and people will just read and understand what they want to, but the reason of essence celerity is simply monsters reaction towards it.
And anyway, even if everything was nerfed, there would still be the zaishen quests farming option with multi accounts that would balance the economy...

The price of almost everything depends on SF's ability to keep the market going. True People would still do normal runs (which they should be doing more of anyway). But the price of ALMOST every thing in the game will drasticly jump up in price, pretty much over night. Maybe with the exception of Personal Cons.. which could go down..seeing as there would not a market for them without speed clears.

It's not about "class can't farm as well as shadow form" . I'm simply stating that Speed Clear's depend Terra rolls so much, that it makes little since to pigeon-hole the options down to one class, limiting the viability of other classes to fill those rolls.
True SOME of the economy is based on consets.. but defiantly not all of it. Without Terras to run the speed clears...what incentive do people have to buy them? Not much at all really...
If for instance they changes VoS so one can cast Flash enchantments, but requires BU to maintain on a constant basis... that Seem like a fair trade off to me. Ecpecially seeing how the skill gets NO PLAY TIME on any Derv's bar in it's present form.
Balancing this skill seems fairly easy to me. Maybe the Dev's think that it's not worth the time or effort. But I have to disagree....

If the economy is dependant on speed clears, get rid of ways of doing speedclears will make the economy dependant on something else--so nerf sf again, not add more ways to do these (the economy was doing just fine before speedclears really).
