Unskilled Heros...

I've been away for quite some time and just struggling to get any hero builds put together. My main was/is a Warrior/Monk so I have quite a few of those skills unlocked (but no elites) and it's the only character I have.

I haven't completed any of the campaigns EXCEPT EOTN. I'm on the last bit of Prophecies at the moment. (the last 3 missions). Then plan to go do Factions/Nightfall.

Since I've been thru EOTN, I have quite a few heroes unlocked, though they all have their base skills. I'm looking through PvX trying to find builds. Since I'm still doing the campaigns and not doing anything crazy (like speed clears or anything in HM) I thought it'd be okay to look through the archived builds to see if I could put together some heroes.

I have very little Bathazaar faction, I'm doing RA trying to get some but I suck at PvP so we get smoked a lot (though my team did win 3 in a row this morning)... I don't have an elite on my W/Mo and that hurts a lot in PvP.

I need advice other than to continue doing the campaigns, because I'm already doing that, and buying the skill packs from NCSoft.

Should I spend all my current Balth faction on Ranger trap skills that will allow me to do Zaishen Challenge/Elite solo daily for 6k Balthazar faction then use what I earn from that to do heroes? If I could get 2k a day from RAs and 6k from Zaishen I could do a hero a day. Yes, I know they won't be equipped, but the skills are the first part of the battle. I'm already upgrading their equipment as I can....

More Options:

Since you have finished EOTN you should have some hero skill points available. You can see how many you have by talking to Gedrel in Eye of the North, Tyr the Skald in Gunnar's Hold or Lexx in Rata Sum. You can spend those points to unlock skills for both your heroes and yourself and it does not cost gold. There are also hero skill trainers in Nightfall when you get around to that campaign.
You can gain more hero skill points by increasing asura, norn, vanguard, deldrimor, lightbringer and sunspear ranks (the last 2 are Nightfall things).

Another route to take that costs real world cash would be to buy the skill unlock packs from the A-net store. That unlocks skills for your PvP characters and your heroes.
