As the title says this thread is about two sets of builds I use. One for myself as a sin, and the other for myself and two friends, a mesmer(who likes to OVERAGGRO everything(caps for a reason)) and an Ele without nightfall, and no he doesn't plan on buying it.

The builds are mainly for Vanq's and Dungeons in HM, though some NM dungeons will be done for LMOTN titles.

I'm looking for tweaks, advice, and help on making the builds as effective as possible. Maybe a skill isn't so useful on a hero, or Utilize the extra humans in ____ a way.

Either way here are some Pawnd's of the build.

7H -

3 Player - First 3 are players

I'm thinking of Dropping the SoGM on the 3 player builds, for another RoJ with divine healing and heavens delight. Thoughts?

I made a post about this subject like a couple of weeks ago or so, you may find it interesting:

Would you care to defend some of your skill choices? Just so I could see why you chose them over others?

Why Shatter Enchantment over mistrust or guilt when you have drain enchantment?

Why JI on the UA and why UA over RoJ?

Why Earthbind with virtually no KD on the team?

Why Res Sig? Why not something Re-usable? Because of UA?

Where does most of your damage come from, your builds are heavily defensive?

Why shield guardian(i think?) on the Emo?

Actually that's purely a mistake on my part. Loading wrong build. If someone had pointed it out earlier it would be changed by now.

My preferred domination bar for casters is:
Mistrust, Cry, Spiritual Pain, Unnatural Signet for the 2 first bars. And if I run 3 domination mesmers same team I do Spiritual and Unnatural on all 3, Cry + Mistrust on one, Mistrust + Shatter on another and Shatter + Cry on third. Or 3x Cry, 2x Mistrust, 1x Shatter, both work.

For melee I drop spiritual pain in favor of Shatter Hex, sometimes grab some extra energy management.

Shatter Enchantment rarely comes in to play before I use triple mes.

Quote: Why JI on the UA and why UA over RoJ? 1. Holydamage is always awesome, rangers, warriors or whatever you fight it's the best.
2. 20% armor penetration, try it yourself and see what it does for your damage.
3. UA is an awesome skill, RoJ is a playstyle choice. Depending on the player, RoJ can either be amazing or craptastic.
4. UA is better with multiple players in team, RoJ is more of a solo thing when you tank and ball every group. And this post is about a hero base for a player team.

Quote: Why Earthbind with virtually no KD on the team? 1. Because it lets you KD foes that would otherwise be immune. (Golems, Ogres, bosses and similar.
2. Because a lot of the bars do include a spammable KD (Brawling Headbutt, YMLAD, Evas). Of course if you don't have a KD don't use it.

And if you don't like it nobody's stopping you from replacing it.
Quote:
Why Res Sig? Why not something Re-usable? Because of UA? Simply because everyone has their own preferred res skill. I just put something recognizable in there. That said lately I've actually been using res sig quite a lot. Especially if I use UA. It has the most obvious drawback, but also the most obvious advantages.

Why shield guardian(i think?) on the Emo? There is no emo, but there is a MM with Shield Guardian. After the update I use the skill a lot, combination of block and team heal is not to be trifled with.

Since you play with 1 assassin, 1 ritualist and 1 mesmer. I'd use the 1 Melee in team base.

And again, that domi bar is plain wrong. Should be changed but I don't have time now. Panic, Shatter Hex, Unnatural, Cry, Mistrust, Drain, Waste Not, Res is what it should have been.

Then, I'd pick 3 of the player bars.
JDF spamming sin.
Explosive Growth AP caller.
Fevered Dreams mesmer.

Since none of those builds are a healer, the last bar I would pick would have to be one. Here I'd us the N/Rt healer with my elite of choice which in this case would be discord.

What you end up with is:
JDF sin leading team.
AP caller spitting out tons of damage through explosive growth, YMLAD, EVAS and Finish Him.
Fevered Dreams mesmer applying conditions and deep wound to the entire enemy team, or Double EVAS AP caller, or esurge on hero and Panic player.
SoS Ritualist with splinter weapon and a couple of heals.la
AoTL minion master.
Panic Mesmer
UA-Smiter primarily backing up the assassin.
N/Rt discord or icy veins healer.

Most of the builds have a defensive function yes, but all of them are primarily offensive except the N/Rt healer. I hardly think that team can be accused of lacking damage. And as a sidenote, I don't actually use N/Rt myself anymore, usually I go with Me/Rt instead but this post was about making a good combination of meta builds, not to try to push people to play my bars.

@OP: UA is also a "player choice" type deal. While there are some on these forums who swear by it, many (myself included) do not like it at all. I would personally never use UA in a hero build... though I suppose it would be a little more useful in a build that isn't all heroes. Still, with your set-up (and especially considering that you have a melee and minions to body-block up front), I would use RoJ.

Another possibility that I sometimes use on smite bars is empathetic removal. Its obviously somewhat situation, but take that with smite condition and smite hex and you no longer need any more condition/hex removal anywhere else on the team. Another idea is tease (this is what I use on my smiter in my phyway party). The extra e-management is really only necessary if you are planning to maintain multiple SoH though (but in that case, it really is necessary).

@Gabs: heroes use Gole really poorly... especially in a smite bar with only one, non-spammable skill that costs 10 energy. I would just invest a little in inspiration and use pdrain instead.

2. It works. It's all the energy management needed, and it's reliable.
3. 2 skills costing 10 energy, usually used at the start of the fight
4. Yeah, you're right. But since I usually tend to play with 2-3-4 mesmers in team there is stacking issues. And I loaded that build straight up from my rangers heroes. Where I use 3 mesmers.
5. That post is about team setups more then the exact bars used.
