Hello all, I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I started playing this game within a month of launch and quit before additional chapters were released I believe. Factions might have come out but it's not on my account so I don't think so. I'm looking to purchase the remaining chapters and start playing again but like what is to be expected, I'm overwhelmed.

I've logged into my old account and have 6th anniversary gifts on 3 characters, not as much gold as it seems like I should lol, and a bunch of stuff I have no idea about. I'm considering starting a new character that wasn't available to me before and relearning the game that way, my inquiry regards to my current characters and items.

I know 6 years was a long time ago and I hardly remember anything and the things I do are probably all different, but it feels like not utilizing the money/characters I already have is a waste. Heh, fond memory I do have is running through some tough pass to get the sweet skills and armor of the later city.

So basically, with what I have at my disposal how should I go about genuinely getting back into and making this my primary game? I appreciate any help or advice that is provided. Even general new player tips will help, though those are more abundant around here and I can find myself. It already seems like EotN is the best campaign to complete first from what I have read and that's what I'll do.

Guess there are many stages of the game I could have been at back then. I have a 20 war/mo, ranger/nec, mo/war. Last thing I remember doing is soloing uw with a mo/war build and grouping for uw or fow as a traps ranger, trying to farm ectos I believe. I wouldn't usually mention the day to day 6 years ago in an mmo, but from these forums it seems uw and fow are still a major player.

Starting a new character is always a great way to get back into the feel of the game, and nightfall's probably the best place to start in that regard(with heroes being integrated from the beginning). I'd recommend playing through the first few nightfall missions on one of your level 20s to try and get back into the swing of things. If it goes well, you can carry on with nightfall(i find it quite well paced and you'll end up with a decent selection of heroes), or head straight off to the eye of the north! If they seem a bit overwhelming, go with a new character!

There's so much new content compared to 05/06 these days that you can really just dive into something and have a go. Generally by the time you've completed eotn or nightfall you'll have a party that's ready and capable of having a good go at anything else the game can chuck at you.(allthough i'd hold off on treks into UW/Fow/DoA/Slavers for a little while^^)
