Need help with teambuild
Tess80
Hey all. I made a teambuild for vanquishes, and it seems to work pretty well so far.
However, I'm still unsure of a few things, so I figured I'd show it here for some constructive feedback.
So... any thoughts or suggestion to make the build better?
I'm aware of a lack of monk prots, and while I seem to do ok so far, I'm not sure if I can do the really tough areas without them. Thoughts?
In particular: any good ideas for a skill to replace SoC on the player bar as it's rarely used?

Pain inverter is a good replacement for SoC.
I would say you need some domination support. On the PI bar, I would replace the illusion spells with mistrust, cry of frustration, maybe chaos storm and other skills like that.
The discord spirit spammer just feels a little awkward, I think you have enough single target damage already. Maybe make it a dedicated minion master with monk prots?
The Derv healer is unnecessary in my opinion. You already have a dedicated healer and a healer hybrid. If you don't make your necro a prot hybrid I would suggest an e/mo protter like this http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:E/Mo_ER_Prot_Hero
Or a ST rit like this http://www.gwpvx.com/Build:Rt/any_Soul_Twisting_Prot
However, if you are taking monk prots on the necro, a RoJ hero with support skills from the smiting line is always useful. But, you could also go for raw elementalist damage if you wanted. Mess around and try it with both.

I would drop the BloodRitual on the Derv unless you want him to run back to you everytime someone is low on EN. That or placed on manual use.

Few noticeable problems, You have a single discord and you don't really have much skills that cause conditions and trigger it, just enfeebling blood, ofcourse death nova too but that's a little unreliable to me
You're PI bar needs to be completely revamped, as an above poster said, you lack domination shutdown
You have Panic with PI on the same team build
One is designed to interrupt all in a certain area, and the other knocks down in the area, they kinda conflict with eachother, Esurge will be better for raw damage somewhere
You have mark of pain, but you're only physical will be your minions (that you're gonna blow up anyway) and EVAS

Thanks for your comments so far.
First off, Pain Inverter is a good idea. I overlooked it because I usually like PvE skills that I pretty much spam on recharge, but I have enough spamskills, and PI is awesome against the right foes.
Considering the PI bar. It's suggested that PI conflicts with Panic, but does it really? The reason I bring PI is because it helps tremendously with getting Wastrels off, even against small groups or single targets. Panic might interrupt the foe before PI hits every now and then, but it hits often enough to warrant the elite imo. I choose illusion on this bar because PI and Panic do a pretty good job of shutting down casters. And also since the big domination AoE (Mistrust) tends to get wasted with both PI and Panic, I choose to abandon domination alltogether. But I'll give it a try and see if it works better.
Lots of comments on the Discord. Maybe you're right and I should make it into a normal MM/Prot build. I'm sad to see three solid offensive spirits go, but as been pointed out, Discord really isn't that reliable with the one condition I have in the build. Not sure about the elite I should use though; AoTL isn't that good with a second MM and Jagged Bones is kinda useless if you kill stuff fast enough.
On the derv, perhaps I should have explained that he uses a Blood Staff and doesn't attack. His job is to run around and use Blood Ritual while spamming his flash enchantments. If I were to replace him, I'd still want Blood Ritual somewhere because it really makes the player build more flexible. I'll experiment with it a little.
And finally, Mark of Pain and Barbs are there purely for the minions. Don't forget there are two MM in the team.
I'll play around a little and post an updated build when I'm done.

I agree with most things mentioned by the above posters, so you will find some similarities between their posts and mine.
My opinion
player bar
It has panic on it, so that makes it a 7/10 bar already thanks to the fantastic shutdown it provides. If you feel like you don't need the energy pain inverter is a fantastic skill to bring. For an overall damage boost you can also opt to bring either the ebon battle standard of honor/wisdom. Honor adds a quite additional damage packet to every type of outgoing damage your team members provide, wisdom when combined with fast casting allows for some extreme skill and damage spam. Your choice. Alternatively you can opt for something like "finish him!" to force a kill on a weakened priority target.
Shared burden bar
Its not bad, but personally I don't see a real need for shared burden.
I usually opt for ineptitude myself. Panic is mainly used to migitate the damage from spells, and you already have condrunum lengthening the cast time. Perhaps it is for snaring, but casters semi-ball up already due to EVAS, and don't kite out of an AoE hex like panic. so the elite feels underwhelming for me here. The command skills are fine.
The PI bar
Lets be honest here: It sucks.
You already have panic, thats enough shutdown.
In my opinion you bring either Panic OR PI, but NOT both.
Kill it off and replace with an e-surge with aoe damage, rupts, and command skills that are useful ( think e-surge combined with for example mistrust and cry of frustration. you already bring command on your other mes, so besides fall back I don't see anything useful to add. CTT! is not good in 90% of the GW areas, and personally I never found the partywide mending when below 75% health from never surrender useful at all.
The SoS necro bar
This one needs a focus, right now it tries to do to many things at once.
Focus either on spirits with channeling damage support fueled by soul reaping/spirits with resto heals/full MM, but not spirits+ minions. It is subpar to a devoted spirit or MM bar ( both who can bring prot utility, which you are unable to bring right now). The bar also suffers due to the lack of splinter. Even when you only have minions to trigger it is way to awesome not to bring.
Both A-rage and spirit rift are decent altough they might miss with rift a lot due to the 3 second delay.
Discord bar
Again it tries to do to many thing at once.
Leave communing spirits to the rits, and devote this character to minions as a whole. Kick out the bad single target discord in favor of aura of the lich or jagged bones ( or if you bring ebon battle standard of honor yourself take bone fiends+order of undeath if you are brave), and add the holy trinity of prots here ( soa+ps+aegis) since your team has no prots whatsoever, and will most likely explode versus some serious damage packets ( especially aoe ones).
Pain Of Disenchantment bar
I like pain of disenchant.
weakness is also awesome, and so is mark of pain ( combine it with your ebon sin for maximum effect), but I am unsure about barbs. You cannot really control minions as well as heroes, so unless you give every hero a spear you might not trigger it as often as you would like. Besides, in the 2 seconds it takes to cast stuff should be close to death. perhaps bring some more resto with things like Pwk and maybe life ( if not bringing the IV necro) for a party heal ( or spirit transfer to catch damage spikes, I cannot state enough how great of a skill it is, especially on a necro with unlimited soul reaping energy).
IV resto
Assuming you go full channeling on your sos, this can stay as a primary N/Rt healer. Be sure to combine icy veins with putrid bile from the MM manually for maximum aoe. I dislike weapon of warding however. We bring aegis for this. Perhaps a second spirit transfer.Replace life with something else if you bring it on the pain of disenchantment bar.
Dwayna dervish
Pure overkill.
Its not needed.
Energy should be fine on your team for most fights, bring power drain if not.
You need either more damage or more prots.
Whatever floats your boat really.
Personally you can put an Rt with offensive spirits here ( since I recommend to lose them on that necro), with either sogm, or ST with microƔble shelter for some party wide reduction ( you might want to lose the MM if you do this to get the maximum out of shelters protection).
General
Overkill on heals, lack of damage and focus on builds, and some arguable skill choices. You also might want to bring something like drain/shatter/rip enchantment somewhere. Pain of disenchant has quite a cooldown, and especially in harder areas you really want to remove pesky enemy prots whenever possible.
Hope this helped
