Hey guys, so I posted this issue to nvidia's forum, but I also figured that I would copy/paste my issue to these forums (and a few other communities that I'm a member of) in hopes that someone can answer my question... because currently, my computer can't run any game, including GW, due to the lack of installed graphics card driver.
Copy/Pasted from the nvidia forums:
Hi guys, I desperately need some help with this issue.
Today, I decided to update my Geforce 9600M GS card from the 275.33 driver to the 296.10 driver. However, instillation would not work. I kept getting this error screen.
After some searching online, I found multiple solutions - all of which involved first uninstalling the current driver. This proved to be difficult because I kept getting error messages in the uninstaller identical to the picture above (in other words, uninstillation was failing). I finally found a solution that involved only uninstalling the physx, and then using a driver cleaner in safe mode to remove the rest of 275.33. It worked, and I am now without a graphics card driver. However, I am still unable to install 296.10. If I try to install directly from the setup application at C:/Nvidia/DisplayDriver/296.10/WinVista_Win7_64/International, I get the same error message as the one in the above picture. If I try to install the driver from windows device manager, I get the following error message:
I don't know if it really matters because all of the 296.10 files are already unpacked in the C drive, but in case it does, I get this error message when I try to run a freshly downloaded 296.10 driver:
And to make matters worse, I can no longer install older graphics card drivers. I tried to install a freshly-downloaded copy of 275.33, and I got the same error messages as the ones that I got when trying to install 296.10.
Please everyone... I really need some help. If you need more OS specs, just let me know! I'm tech savvy enough to follow directions given to me, but not enough to come up with original solutions. Thus, I desperately need help with this problem because I currently have no idea what is stopping me from installing the graphics card driver nor do I have any idea of how to fix this problem.
Hopefully with a collection of ideas from all of the forums that I have posted this issue to, we can come up with solution to this problem .

Hello just a few ideas and questions to try and help you with your situation,
Are you Installing the correct File ? For example picking the correct OS and choosing between x64 and x32.
Does your bio's recognize your video card ?
Is your motherboard properly updated ?
Is your video card properly installed ?
That's all for now.

Thanks for the help, but it won't be needed anymore. Fortunately, I know a computer genious ingame who was able to solve the problem . Turns out I had to get the driver download from my computer manufacturer's website instead of from nvidia's website.
