by the way.... shouldnt they add golden eggs, those also give treasure hunt a small boost
golden eggs = sugar + treasure hunt, thats 2 titles for HoM = people sooner to GW2, right?

for me its fun to get that title that way (and with keys), and farm em in pre sear, but others will also have their points for GW2

It looks like they've opened up every weekend event for this party. The ones I've checked so far:

EotN Rep points - doubled points per kill
Kurzick/Luxon points - doubled points for turn-ins
Lightbringer/Sunspear - doubled points per kill
Skill Capping - doubled XP for caps (safe to assume double lockpick drops?)

This plus the GW2 BWE...How am I going to get any sleep over the next two weeks?!

you won't get a b-day present until your account/character turns one. so yes your only benefit is to farm the crap out of stuff dropped from monsters

Dude, this is awesome! Super high drop rates AND the most awesome looking pet the game has ever seen! I still have to vanquish parts of Cantha so now I'm going to do it on a massive sugar fueled drunken binge with my flaming dog by my side. Kudos on the awesome new pet (looks to use the Temple Guardian/Nian model) and the very festive decision to throw consumables at us, you guys rock! Also, it's awesome that they started early and go for such a long time! I was genuinely worried about the cross over with the BWE but man you guys have got all bases covered with this one.

Much love to Stumme (especially for that quick Z coin saving post he made) and the whole Live Team for giving our final GW1 pre GW2 birthday celebration the bang it deserves and it seems as if we haven't seen everything the game has to offer yet!

Genuinely excited!

I'm guessing if there was going to be a costume it would have gone live by now?

This anniversary totally rocks! Thanks Anet! I was shocked when I did my first vaettir farm for today and all those drops started raining on me. Now I'm asking how am I going to get that much space in my inventory, cause so far it seems the inventory will get full in like 3 runs or so.

But anyways, a big thanks to ANET for making this anniversary as it is and I bet it will help a lot of people in getting points toward their HoM! P.S. Love the Hound of Balthazar (don't play ranger much, but this pet made me play my ranger again).

It spawns when heroes are present, so I would imagine they can tame it, unlike the rainbow phoenix.

Just talk to the NPC in Embark Beach and it will be added to the Zoo

Yes. Talking to the questgiver will give you a level 5 at the menagerie, which you can then manually command your Ranger hero to charm.

You have to talk to the tamer there to remove the heroes current pet. also it is best to only take that hero or set your others to passive during the charm.

The Hound of Balthazar is a cool addition. So, since there are 3 other NPCs besides Ceira, can we expect the other 3 to offer elemental-themed pets like the hound? A glowing-blue ice panther from Merisse? An electricly-charged bird from Fylinn?

I highly doubt it since the 4 npcs have been there from embark beach day 1 and it would be too weird if the hound had been planned already by then.

I'll do another 16 tomorrow hopefully without dying and get survivor

Maybe the idea was that our 7th birthday gift is really eternal access to FoW and UW, considering the amount of titles that are expected to be maxed over the next couple of weeks?
