What did you get from your 7th year birthday present?

Well, to be honest, I wouldn't mind if they added the super duper rare mini's to the gifts IF they were different in some way. Only thing I can come up with is that the Bday Kanaxai's would have gold text, Panda's purple etc. Or just make them all white. At least like that there would be a way to distinguish between the original ones, and the new ones. I can still understand the (potential) rage from the people who own such a pet and some of them spent a lot of time saving up for some of those, but at least like that they could still hold their prestige. Somehow. I dunno, I don't really care about minipets.

This would also explain why Cosifiep got like 5 Jora's But this seems to be rather odd, though somehow thought out. I still think they're spoonfeeding HoM points to us way too much though. They made most of the titles a joke and have spent the last year or so making sure that pretty much everyone and their dog could get max sweet tooth/party/drunkard on all their characters and even their heroes by throwing stacks upon stacks of them at people during events. The changes to survivor and LDoA were necessary, because they were both broken titles. The way they're treating their gamers as babies atm just because the ones that suck at the game are the ones that cry the loudest and assume all of them are in need of their breastmilk, is kind of annoying though. But all in all I'm quite happy with the company.

I didn't yet have a gold mini on my HoM and received a gold mini in my 7th present, so you could be right in the theory that the present is customised to help with the HoM. I also dont have a green mini in my HoF, so if anyone wants to send me another 7th present I could open it to test

I think the actual miniature would be determined when the present appeared in inventory, not when it was opened (similar to drops being determined when a zone is entered, not when mobs are killed).

I have another account that does not have Eye of the North, and is about to come due for the 7th b-day gifts. What minis am I going to get, if this is all about filling your HoM?

my account isnt 7 years yet (will have a few month wait for that--though my hubby's will be in about 6 weeks--and he doesnt keep minis, so I could get his and open it--I have all but the green bday minis in my hom).
Would be nice to get the ones I am missing without having to buy them (never have gotten a green bday gift with well over 100 opened)....

Like George Harrison used to sing, "All Things Must Pass Away". 7+ years and counting of GW1. Whatever happens after this means it's been one of the best runs in the history of gaming. Be happy about the game when it finally closes. I will always remember it fondly when it finally goes offline.

Had a guildie get mini gwen, which when I asked he said he already had one dedicated in his hom...Imma check myself since I have all yr 1-5 ded once I can buy one reasonably

Yeah no ones are confirmed yet outside of the 1-5yr ones. People selling them are trying to claim chances at kanaxi, panda,polar,etc...with absolutle no comfirmations to back up the claim.

Kind of on the fence about this years mini pets. I'm happy that others who are newer players get a chance to collect a few more minis but I pretty much have every mini from every year so the odds of me getting anything I haven't already collected are slim. It just really sucks that you already know what the present is before you've even opened it.

On the plus side, I really like the new ranger pet. Now we just need that Mistfire wolf

Keep in mind that it might be determined by the account of the character who received the gift, rather than the one opening it. You could check the sellers HoM, but there is no promising that it was actually their gift to begin with.

Good point, it might be true for the 1-6 year presents but it's probably impossible to tell.

But if the 7th year gifts are stackable then they can't hold any individual information.

So if the 7th year presents are really stackable then all they could be doing is a check of the character's OR account's HoM and determining the possible outcomes and their probabilities according to that.

And this is something we CAN prove/disprove pretty soon, just need some more data.

My Monk has a 7th birthday present... and I dont really dare to open it, if you really can just get any mini....
