Disclaimer: I don't know how to phrase the search to get a good result and so I don't know if this has been asked before here on this forum, if it was I'm sorry OK.

So the question is:

If you link your Guild Wars account with what will be a Guild Wars 2 account and get the HoM rewards, will you still be able to play Guild Wars 1 or you lose that option?

Yes. There is no reason why that option would be lost.
