In preparation to GW2, im replaying much of Prophecies since its been 7 years since i last played through the first part of the campaign and are enjoying every moment once again.
However to complete my replay im looking for a list of all landmarks, outposts or anything of interest in the Ascalon and Shiverpeaks areas and maybe a bit of Kryta so i can do one final tour with my new Character and be ready to compare these locations with the Norn and Charr areas. Ive done some searching but cant find a list of these so i can easily see what to visit. Im not looking for maps or anything, just a list of worthwhile or cool places that dont necessarily need to be in GW2 that i should visit.

Hey Shaun!

Hit me up ingame: Casting Monk, perhaps we could tour together through some places!

Try these. Maybe they are what you are looking for:

You can start in ascalon with the areas under "landmarks"

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ascalon

In the wiki, there are listed landmarks for each region, so that's a good list to start with.

Here's hoping that GW2 attracts as many detail-oriented folks as GW1 has so that the wiki gets filled out and someone takes the obvious step of finding as many GW1 landmarks as possible and comparing them to their GW2 versions, if any. [one of the first things I'll be doing when GW2 releases is going to see how my favorite GW1 landmark is doing - the giant crystal in the Pockmark Flats. The crater is clearly visible on the GW2 map...]

It is actually amazing just how many landmarks go unnoticed. I am very jealous of you guys going through and looking at the landmarks! Have fun and get see you in GW2!

The Balthazar temple in The Falls is gorgeous

Loamhurst village in Divinity Coast mission - the closest place to Giant's Basin , or maybe the inaccessible island in watchtower coast, next area.

Henge of Denravi

Tomb of the Primeval Kings

Hell's Precipice mission

An out of the way mural in the Breach, east of the gate to Old Ascalon near a tar pit.

And the famous warrior monument which is probably collapsed for you - Crystal Desert - The Arid Sea region
