Are Heavy Equip Packs worth it over Large?
Mr. Fahrenheit
In your honest opinion.
Plus 5 slots for 10 Gold Z-Coins

Only if you feel like your inventory is always cluttered without it.
I recently sold mine because most of my inventory was always empty, now I don't even have a light, and I'm doing just fine without it.
But that's just me, since I rarely pick up drops.

Due to the disparity of cost-to-size, I dubbed the Heavy Equipment Pack the "Rip-Off Pack."
That said, I'm a major hoarder and all of my characters have rip-off packs.
Like Lichtenberg said, it's worth it if you need the space.
If you find you do need the space, it's almost always a better bargain to buy the packs from players and sell your z-coins.

I got a few for my clothes hoarders...most of my others are doing with the 5 or 10 space packs...
so it really comes down to space--if you need the space, yes, its almost worth it, if you dont then no, its not.

I got heavy on each of my chars and it never seems enough...I'd buy one large double for 10x the price if it was there so...but also take into account I don't use many mules and I'm a packrat, so each char holds her 3 to 6 armor sets in inventory + all the weapon sets.
GODh
For me it depends on the char... i have a 6-7 chars with lots of weapons and/or armor. Those chars are using a heavy EP. But i also have a few chars who have a 10 slot EP with still some free slots.
If you think you can do with 15 (or even 10) slots instead of 20 slots then i think its not worth it.

I have one on my mine, more then worth it to me. It's nice to be able to carry several sets of pre-configured armors and weapons with me so I can swap out as needed, even during a mission or quest.

im a 50/50 gwamm---i imho they r useless and more often because of the way they prioritize inventory---they are an annoyance. ya just gotta learn what to keep and sell
loshon
Very useful, that extra space means you can take an extra armor set or a few more weaponsets.
If I had the patience I'd have them on every character.

Maybe I need to screw around with my GUI but my toons with the heavy pack always crop off the bottom of the compass (where the all important hero flags are).

It depends on what you want to do with that character and how flexible you want him or her to be.
Do you intend to farm with that character? If yes, do you need a different set of armor configuration for farming vs general pve? (e.g. 55 monk).
Do you intend to support different build configurations that require different weapon sets? For example, do want to make your warrior a hammer warrior, sword warrior, or axe/dagger/scythe warrior sometimes? The more configurations that you want to support, the more inventory space that you may need to have for different headpiece, weapons, shields, and maybe other gear.
Besides that, if you want to make your character flexible for vanquishing, mission clearing and stuff you may need things like:
- a long/flatbow for pulling
- a defensive set
- Lockpicks
- Tomes (to record your progress and get extra rewards later)
- Summoning stones
- DP removers and cons
- Id kit
- Salvage or Expert Salvage kit
- maybe upgrade mods and inscriptions that you may want to keep
- rares and uniques that you may want to keep
- trophies that you may want to keep for future Nicholas asks
etc.

I started out with a large on my "main" character. Eventually decided it was worth
it to get him a heavy. Eventually wound up with heavy's on all my characters as I
passed my large down.
If you do the various zaishen quests regularly, you'll find it won't be long before
you have more gold coins than you have use for.
I see people commenting often about idiots "wasting" ectos on those shiny gloves.
If it's their money and they spent it on something they wanted, how is it wasted?
Buy what you want to have. (I suspect that if you get the large you'll wish you'd
waited to get the heavy though.)
