Right click camera (not working)
Sai Rith
Well, I have not played GW in a year or so and got a new laptop. I use a USB mouse and for some reason I cannot use right click to hold for camera. The mouse wheel works, as does left click. Any help is appreciated as playing Ranger and Monk are incredibly hard for me now.

3 things off the cuff:
Does the right mouse button work at all - such as right-clicking in Windows? (I assume it does, but you know what they say about assume. )
Perhaps the mouse can't send a continuous right-button signal. What brand/model of mouse is it? Is it wireless?
(Does holding the left button work in Windows - can you drag things around?)
Did you install any software/driver that came with the mouse? If so, try un-installing it. Windows (7) probably doesn't need it.

Hey thanks for the reply! Anyway:
1. Right click works everything else, like in Windows or Internet. I do not have other PC games so I cannot verify that, but otherwise- yes, right-click works.
2. It is a USB mouse, Logitech brand.
3. As far as I know, I did not install new drivers. I do have Windows 7.

what kind of logitech mouse usually they need drivers to work 100%
can get it off cd that came with it or their website

No, Logitech mice need Setpoint for optional extras such as macros and profiling. Basic functionality requires no drivers.

Perhaps you have some other background app that is intercepting the right-click. If your laptop came with some 'shovel-ware', try uninstalling it - particularly any 'media detector' - I often find that they cause problems.
Btw, does holding down the 'right button' on the trackpad work properly? (Not that I'm suggesting you use that to game, but holding the right trackpad button and seeing if the camera works properly with the trackpad and/or mouse (+ trackpad button) would help to narrow things down.

Hmm I gotta try steppoint later tonight as I have class and work all day today.
Trackpad works but having to use that to move camera is annoying and sets me back especially as Ranger or Monk in PvP. I disabled it as well and that did not help. I'll also try disabling the shovel ware, though I do not have an idea what that is lol but it probably cannot be to hard to find
Also I very much appreciate the help and advice, it is reassuring that I at least have a chance to fix it

'Shovel-ware' is a term for all the crap software, limited trials, and promotional apps that they often load onto computers when you first buy them. A lot of this crap has little apps that hang around in the taskbar.
The best way to avoid it is to not install it in the first place, but that's hard to avoid with some systems.
But anyway, since the trackpad works, that would seem to indicate that the problem is most likely due to the mouse, or to the USB in general. If it was shovel-ware getting in the way, the trackpad would more likely not work either.
Have you tried a different mouse? Near as I can tell, this is a problem with specific mice.
Check in the Mouse app in Control Panel, that you don't have ClickLock enabled.
Do you have anything running at the same time as GW, such as a browser or music player?

Thanks for the help man, I'm just getting a new mouse

I would also look in the GW options in case it was disabled there. I've almost always had a Logitech mouse and never had any problems with it.

If you have Synergy installed, deactivate te Synergy service.

Hi I've been having this problem for a while too on my Logitech G500 and I found a fix. I had some buttons mapped to keystrokes which means that my mouse was partially emulating a keyboard which apparently gave GW2 some confusion. I restored my mouse to factory settings and right click has been working ever since.
