Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to have posted this thread, so sorry if it is wrong!

I am currently using my sisters old hp laptop running a ATI Radeon xpress 200m (until I fix my desktop or buy a replacement). I have tried to install guild wars on to it, which goes fine but when I try to run the program in does the first loading screen then a message pops up saying 'you need to install directX 9.0 (Which I have) or update your graphics 3D graphics/3D accelerator drivers'. I have looked all over the web and found one driver which I have installed but it has not solved the problem.

This problem is really annoying as on many different forums it states that this graphics card will play guild wars on lowest setting without a problem. So i just wondered if anyone else had come across this problem and maybe a way to fix it?

Help, would be much appreciated!!!

It sounds like you don't have the proper graphics driver installed. It should have come with the laptop on a CD, but that probably wandered off long ago. So, try going to the HP Support site to download it. In many cases with laptops, you need the manufacturers driver rather than a generic one.

(Go to www.hp.com and then "Support & Drivers")

thanks for your suggestion, I looked on the manufacturer website and I had already downloaded that one apparently but after searching like crazy on google I found the right one. so I am rocking GW on the laptop now!!
