I thought of this I was curious now that armor reduce on HM with Hp increase and I was curious would avatar's elemental damage dealt increase on HM, mean like Lyssa is Chaos, Balth is Holy, Grenth is Dark etc.. wondering if those damage types increase on Hard Mode. haven't tried it. I want ask if anyone else has.
Thank you.
Curious about Avatar Forms on HM

Only reason got idea because other elemental damage like Spiteful Spirit, all mesmer spells now hit harder after update than before and LB spell hits harder and I wonder if concept works with Avatar Forms for Dervish.

As far as I am aware the update that made HM harder was reduced armour levels increase Health. Elemental damage from any source deals some large packet damage but I have not tested this out with the avatars but my guessing is they should increase in damage depending tho

Your bread and butter physical damage is also armor respecting, so it shouldn't make a difference

You are mistaken. Shadow damage is armor-ignoring, which is what Spiteful Spirit is. The mesmer spells and LB spells are also armor-ignoring. The update makes such armor-ignoring skills less effective. Avatar forms don't make a difference since chaos/dark/holy are typeless damage and the only applies to an enemy's innate weakness, which wasn't changed. It has nothing to do with the hard mode update.

There might be a slight increase in damage from the autoattack contribution because the base armour of hard mode mobs have been lowered a bit, but that's about it.

Basically, only Physical damage (Blunt, Slashing, Piercing) and Elemental damage (Fire, Earth, Lightning, and Cold) are affected by armor levels. Any damage type (including typeless damage and life steal) that is not one of those 7 specific types are not affected by armor levels.
