Prophecies and EOTN Heroes
kalian
I've searched a bit both here and on several GW sites but can't seem to find a good guide. I only have [P] and [EOTN], and I'm wondering how durable and effective my heroes can be when lacking the other 2 campaigns. If anyone has advice or website links that would be great. I'm just looking to go through all of EOTN with my heroes, and possibly HM.

A friend of mine has a similar problem, he got all EotN heroes but that's just not enough to make a good working team for HM, because you lack at skills.
The Factions and NF skills you don't have are really big problem, because you have either little skills for self and no skills for sin Anton, rit Xandra, para Hayda and derv Kahmu, just their default bars and a few EotN skills.
However it's possible to complete campaigns in NM or do some easy stuff, but it's not real GW and it's no as fun. Consider buying at least NF, people here can advise where to get it in your location for the lowest price. You will need people's help. Find yourself a friendly helpful guild.
P.S. You can get in total 11 heroes with Prophecies and EotN only. One hero of each proffesion + extra paragon Keiran. But you won't have skills for 5 of them.

The problem with heroes is in your case not the weapons or runes or level. The problem is their skillbars. So first of all forget bout the sin/derv/rit/para-heroes in eye of the north. you can get them if you like, but you can't get them any decent build.
Secondly keep in mind you can also bring henchman. The Eye of the North henchman are rather good if you compare them to prophecy henchman AND though they have a fixed skillbar, they got skills from all campagns and their builds are pretty balanced.

So if your team of heroes are still work in progress cause you can't get them all skills yet (the ones available for you in eotn and prophecy's) don't bring the hero and use a henchman instead. on default the hero's are rubbish compared to hecnhman. Only after you provided them with runes, weapons and balanced builds hey become better.
It might happen that you run into quests in eye of the north that are too hard in nm. if so you might need to find help. Some of them are rather hard. Specially the last ones of every arc (and all of the dwarves arc).

Actually, after an update a while back, the prophecies henchmen have pretty nice setups, so you should be able to do much (or all) of HM with only GWEN heroes if desired.
However, you will find difficulty running any of the current meta team setups, since they make use of both heroes and skills from the other campaigns. You will not be able to effectively use any ritualist, assassin, dervish or paragon heroes without the skills from the corresponding campaigns, but you can still use any of the core professions to good effect with only prophecies skills. If you find that you're missing a hero of a certain profession for a certain team-setup, you may want to consider buying a few mercenary heroes to round out your team.
The game is definitely harder this way, but if you experiment and play smartly, you can still do most of the content in those two areas.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to look into bringing henchman instead for certain missions.
