Festival Updates

Made preparations for this year's Dragon Festival, which begins on Thursday, June 28th, at noon PDT (GMT-7) and ends on Sunday, July 1st, at 11:59 p.m. PDT (GMT-7).

Noblewoman Sun Li now appears in Shing Jea Monastery and grants one Imperial Mask Token to players who complete her quest.

Imperial Supply Master Kagno now exchanges Imperial Mask Tokens for festival masks from years past.

Emperor Kisu no longer distributes festival masks during the final event.

Increased rewards for participation during the final event.

Skill Changes

Dervish

Avatar of Dwayna: changed functionality to: "Whenever you use a Dervish attack skill, you lose 1 hex."

Avatar of Dwayna (PvP): changed functionality to: "Whenever you use a Dervish attack skill, you lose 1 hex."

Mesmer

Crippling Anguish (PvP): increased Energy cost to 15.

Ethereal Burden: increased casting time to 1.5 seconds; decreased Energy gain to 10...18.

Kitah's Burden: increased casting time to 1.5 seconds; decreased Energy gain to 10...18.

Leech Signet: increased recharge to 30 seconds.

Web of Disruption (PvP): split for PvP; increased Energy cost to 10.

Warrior

Forceful Blow: increased adrenaline cost to 5; reduced damage to 10...30.

just when i wanted to use that avatar..... sigh, just my luck
i mean, it still let you lose a hex, but using derv enchants is/was the goal of derv overhaul, wasnt it? at least a big part of it

whats wrong with leech signet? heroes use it on any action anyway

and why did they change kisu? that was a symbol of the event the way it was....

did u miss the one where you get past festival hats? hello pumpkin crown and witch hat.. if its all hats and not just canthan ones. TY for listening to us Anet.

i didnt mention those changes, i just were talking about these few changes

the hat part is awesome, and seems that anet ignores the elitism like "you werent there, so you dont deserve it"

Sucky update, thanks for all the nerfs. By the way, noblewoman Sun Li does not exist in Shing Jea Monastery despite their wording of "now appears".

What are the chances that Imperial Mask Tokens let you get other hats, really?

What a lame update, anet is trying to show that they care about GvG.

Please fix the following attribute lines from their current state: Motivation, Leadership, Blood Magic, Deadly Arts, Smiting Prayers and Marksmanship.

It's been YEARS since these were effective. YEARS. Let me re-emphasize that: YEARS.

God forbid they run afoul of your pet build while they're trying to improve the game.

Holy crap. They're finally giving the old festival hats away.

Festival hats were suppose to be a reward for early adopters who stayed with the game. I get that other changes were to make the game easier and more accessible, such as the updates to HoM, but this pretty much takes last vestige veteran players had to show their dedication to the game.

The PvP update is great balancing as always!

Where is that Sun Li b*tch? I can't find her. Wasted 15 mins with searching...

No. Many veteran players deleted their hats because pre factions everyone only had one storage pane, 4 character slots and the hat took up an armor slot. This shows Anet is willing to omit their mistakes to players.

I can't tell by the wording if the tokens can be exchanged for ALL previous festival hats, or just dragon festival. Either way, that's a nice little addition and I'm looking forward to Sun Li's new quest

Then they shouldn't use the word "now". The NPC is suppose to be part of the Dragon Festival so it should be included in the same point as the first point.

You are not the only one that was confused by ANet's wording.
