I haven't played my sin much but have just taught myself Vaettir farming and now very rarely die. I currently FoWsc as a MoP but would love to have a go as T2 (I understand that's the easiest sin role), maybe building up to MT/T1.
I've watched the tutorial videos on YouTube and I'm gonna go in tonight by myself and just practice running around the route using an Essence of Celerity as I don't want to mess up a PUG or Guildie run by being rubbish.
My question is how do FoW sins deal with enchant removal from the Dryders in the Spider Cave and from the Shadow Mesmers? Surely if your SF gets stripped a long time from recharge you're screwed? Or am I being really dim? (Probably!)
Thanks for your help!

If you are keeping SF all the time when you're in agro you won't have any problems with enchants removing. Why ? Because all of the removing skills are enchants, hex etc.
And as you prob know SF stops all hexes, curses and enchants which makes casters completely usless (Mesmer, Necro, Ele) cuz they can't use any skill on you.

No problem

The only times you may be caught short is being knocked down if you're not running dstab w/ alcohol or interrupted by savage shot/dshot, but those are down to learning the cast timings for the most part.

If you are going to learn a terra for FoWSC I'd learn the Ranger Split as that is taking over the meta and if the split partners are good it only takes about 16 min for you to finish. Also if you wanted to start with a terra I'd pop a full set and not just the essence because the Spider Cave is very difficult without the armor unless you are running Armor of Earth also Glyph of Concentration and the Safe Spots makes it very hard to get rupted in cave. If you have any other questions though you can message me in game my name is Dontcare Aboutnames
Here is the Assassin role for the Ranger Split done my me and a friend.

Thanks mate, I appreciate your help!
I think I'll stick with T2 for the moment just because that's what I'm being asked to learn by my friends who SC. But thanks for uploading the vids, I'll take a look at them once I've mastered T2.
I had a go the other night before I saw your post so only used the Essence. Went 3 times and died twice. The first time I got completely blocked by Abyssals before I'd even got past the Tower of Courage. Not sure why I couldn't free myself/was taking such heavy damage. I wonder whether I had the wrong shield equipped...
The second time was the most successful. I ran the complete route and killed the two shard wolves. Obviously the Seeds and Khobay didn't spawn so I couldn't test those bits. I did struggle to pull the drakes to his spawn point, and I did get a bit lost but I guess that's just practice. I did die eventually but only after I was repeating my route to use up the Essence.
The third time I again got wiped by Abyssals, this time by the Tower of Strength. I think these guys are going to be my nemeses. I defintely had slashing shield equipped. I used IAU as often as I was able and I death charged past them as much as I could. Any tips to surviving their onslaught?

The shield doesn't matter as much as keeping up Shadow Form and Shroud a word of advice for keeping those up is make sure to use IAU when Shadow Form is about 60% recharged. Also for your first couple of runs Armor of Earth wouldn't hurt but as you get better you can drop that and if you really want to you can use Dwarven Stability with Grog or something that makes the Abysall's a lot easier to run past but it can be a bit more costly to keep buying the drunk points. Another word of advice for not getting body blocked is try to Deaths Charge to casters after the Abysall's have started running at you if you have an essence up and a cupcake they won't be able to catch you and you won't have to worry about getting body blocked. Hope this helps

Thanks. I didn't have a problem keeping up SF & Shroud, not one fail or interrupt.
It was the physical damage I was taking that was my downfall. For some reason I couldn't outrun the Abyssals. I used Essence & a cupcake but I did also have Armor of Earth. Even then, with Essence boost I should still have been able to keep ahead of them, no?
Maybe I should try minus Armor of Earth but still with a cupcake the next few times and see if the extra speed is better than the extra armor...

when I was learning I only used Armor of Earth when I got stuck because you can tank with armor of earth but it can be annoying that it slows you down. Also if you want to you can try Heart of Shadow that can be helpful in getting yourself unstuck and you can get up some walls and avoid abysall groups that way.
