Hello!

I'm really excited for Guild Wars 2 releasing soon but I've never played the Guild Wars games and thought it might be fun to try them out.

Guild Wars is kind of old though so I'd like to spend as little money as possible. After all I don't even care about that Hall of Monuments stuff I'm just looking to play through the game.

Does anyone know the cheapest way to get ahold of the all the games for GW1?

Thanks!

Save your money if you're not concerned about HoM stuff. GW2 is more like WoW than GW and anything lore relevant can be read.

Well regardless of your opinion of the game, I'm still interested in playing through the original games.

Hopefully someone could let me know the cheapest way to get all the games.

they sell the trilogy for $30 in game and on ncsoft and on arena net. I suppose you can scower amazon ebay and craigs list also.

I agree with premium unleaded though.

If you wait until they go on sale on steam or amazon, people have been getting the the entire trilogy and expansion for $15 or even $10. Otherwise it will be $30 for the entire set. And it's definitely worth the cost for just looking at the game and playing through the content.

Cheapest = Someone gives it to you. Birthday coming up?

If you just play through the game you will unlock things in your HoM. Heck, just having all 4 games gives you 3 points. So visit the HoM after finishing campaigns, etc and get your just rewards.

Warning: If you buy online, make sure it is new and not used. If used, the original owner could reclaim it.

Just buy Eye of the North and the Trilogy on Amazon or some site you trust. Not that hard.

Guild Wars is a pretty different game than Guild Wars 2, so you may very well enjoy one and not the other. Myself I'm sticking to Guild Wars and instead getting Blade and Soul instead of Guild Wars 2. Lore for me isn't worth playing a game I am not interested in.
