ANet messed up boardwalk schedule in this year's Dragon Festival

At about 11:59pm PST yesterday (Sunday July 1st), everyone was kicked out of the boardwalk but the festival is suppose to end at noon today (Monday July 2nd) instead. So now, you can re-enter the boardwalk, the NPCs are still there and in fact, you can stand near the trees/grass where the rings were, and still participate in the nine rings. However, too bad for those who were afk then.

Do you think they would extend the boardwalk since they kicked everyone out early?

Where are you getting the idea that it was supposed to end at noon today? Go read the GW log-in screen announcement while it's still up. It clearly states that the event ends at 11:59 PM, Jul. 1st.

I guess they changed it. It previously stated Monday July 2nd as the end date so now it has only partially ended? i.e. no rings on the ground but you can still play it.

Really? Were the NPCs still around to access boardwalk after 11:59p Sunday back in 2011?

If yes, I feel suckered.

yeah you can still access the 9 rings and has been the same in previous few years. I was also wondering about the bug where the quest chain becomes active again. I'm guessing the quests cannot be completed again though.

The quest chain just reseted

I was running celestial charges to the sorcerers and got kicked out in the middle of that. Then the emperor started his speech once again and new charges were dropping for this reenactment thing. So yes something was messed up.

When anet kicked everyone this morning and was during the start of kisu`s last show - within a few mins kisu redid his last show.
This always happens but sometimes the boardwalk stays open a bit longer than normal but i`ll guess in a few hrs time they will either have new update or kick and vanish.

I have screenshots from the last 2 years (granted they look like this years so I wont post them)

so 'sucker!' had to (just kiddin!!!)

and yes there will be another kick in about 1/2 hour and we shall all be standing in shing jea again (and probably the announcement about the decorations coming down, even though they already are--yeah whomever set this one up did a real good job ---kinda like a weatherman).

Yeah I got kicked at noon today (Monday July 2nd), exactly as what the original Dragon Festival announcement stated. Boardwalk is finally closed, but heck I got an additional 12 hours of 9-rings compared to those who do not know and was kicked at 11:59pm PST yesterday.
