HoM/GWAMM Advice

Hi all,

I have played on and off over the past number of years, sometimes working at titles and then other times getting bored of the grindy nature of some of them ... I'm currently at 28/30 for GWAMM, and 35/50 in my HoM, which you can see HERE.

I would really like to have at least GWAMM before GW2 is released, and maybe get up to 45/50 in my HoM ... Can anyone give me any advice on the best way of making gold in GW atm? I spent a lot of time feather farming earlier in the year which proved quite lucrative albeit relatively slow. Do feathers still sell?

My UW knowledge is fairly limited and my luck with dropping ectos in the chamber is appalling. I'm hoping that this isn't my best way to earn gold. I don't have a sin and have never jumped on the speed clear builds. The charaacters I do have are a necro and a rit.

If anyone wants any more info in order to help then just let me know

Thanks for reading.

hmmmmmmmm,

though we see a lot of posts hitting this subject you are atleast honest in your question (how to make gold in GW). This is however imo not a polite question (though credits for not hiding it as some others do. I'm not going to answer you cause there is no straightforward answer. but you migth be interested in this youtube video wich is still very accurate on this subject:

It might help to know roughly how much money you want to make. With only needing 2 titles for GWAMM, I'm guessing you're thinking of going after something like sweets/fireworks/drinks and are planning on buying all of most of them?

Thanks for the link to the video, I have no sound on the PC I'm using right now so I'll take a look when I get home ... I fail to see where my question is rude however, and don't at all see the point in anyone hiding their intent? If you looked at my HoM you would have seen I've finished all the grindy titles such as VQ, carto, skills etc, and really, one of the best viable options I have left is sweets or alcohol points. Unless I catch another event, the best way to get these points is to purchase them from other players.

I know the player base is lower than it once was, but GW is still a multiplayer game and a part of games like this is a market place. I used to sell feathers to people who needed cons. They would use cons to drop uber loot. I would purchase the uber loot with my feather farmed gains. If this kind of topic is usually taboo on the forums then ...

Anyway, again thank you for the video. If you have any advice on how I might get the last few titles without buying anything in a shorter time frame then I'm all ears!

To be honest I want to go for the titles that are either cheapest but doable in the time we have left, or quickest, providing I can farm enough gold in the time we have left. My current funds are very low as I finished Life of the Party before I last left.

Drunkard was the next title I was going to go for, I have 900 points in it atm. I suppose the amount I want to make is dependent on the titles, but I imagine I'd need around 1000p per spammable title? Not sure on the prices of those title points anymore though.

money titles should be down to 100g/point again after the anniversary weekend. Buying drunkard and then spending time farming for sweet tooth will still be faster than grinding kurzick/luxon title.

For HoM, you still have to burn some cash on minis if you aren't a long time player. Getting GWAMM will give you enough statues, but you'll still need to farm zkeys or buy them to get the PvP title unless you've played RA somewhat consistently. The obsidian armor will be the bottleneck, you'll have to farm zkeys or whatever tons to buy it. Vabbian armor will be less of a problem if you do all the GW beyond content since it gives you rubies/sapphires and lots of cash. To get your tormy weapon, it's easy to grab a DwG rit and join a frostway or similar for clearing DoA. I doubt you want to bother clearing it with a heroway because it's very tedious and not easy. The rest of the weapons shouldnt be hard to fill out with destroyer weapons.

As someone that did what you want/need to do, here's my advice.

1. Max out your Kurzick and Luxon titles, use the bathazar faction to get zkeys (if you can meet the minimum for the statue sell the rest).

You should be able to max out you Kurzick and Luxon in time with heavy faction farming. It will burn you out unless you can get into a speed clear group but even without a SC you can easily get fill up your meter every day. I got so burned out so bad I can't do any faction pvp without ending up with a dishonorable.

This will give you GWAMM plus add 2 statues to your hall. The rest will just add to your hall. At this point you have meet the minimum requirements for the maximum HoM rewards for GW2 so you can stop at anytime. Since the rest will add semi meaningless titles concentrate on GWAMM.

2. Farm if you can, sell if you must to get the supplies for FoW and Vabbi and the one other (get the one that has the cheapest supplies, probably elite canthan) armor.
3. Do a few DoA runs and get the one Armbrace you need.
3. WiK and Hearts of the North until you top off the weapons.
5. Fill up the minis with the cheapest you can get (hit me up in game I got a bunch I can sell and give you).
6. Make a new presear and get LDoA (again hit me up in game for some help with that) or beat the UW.

For 30/30 GWAMM and 45/50 HoM my recommendations are this:

For GWAMM your best option are present is to complete the two remaining consumable tracks. The other titles will take significantly longer and more resources to complete, even if they're a major cash sink.

With that said, move on to Hall of Monuments:

Get your Zaishen track to rank 3 to finish up your Honor monument.

Get three sets of the remaining Elite armors. While Obsidian and Vabbian will offer extra points, they will cost a lot more than getting two sets elsewhere.

Get a Tormented Weapon and farm up enough Supplies to get another Oppresser's.

Wintersday in July should be next weekend, so you could potentially get Drunk/Sweet/Party during that event if you farmed enough. In your shoes, I'd probably spend that weekend farming feathers - you'll benefit yourself in two ways, because you'll be getting the feather drops (which you can sell) AND you'll be getting the consumable drops. Plus, I usually manage to make a nice profit off of the runes on the armors - for some reason, I always seem to get a lot of armor with Vigors/Vitaes/Radiants/Survivors on them when I do feather farming in Jaya Bluffs.

I'm assuming you know to not feather farm in hard mode. Loot scaling or whatever it is, the feather drop rates tank in HM.

Thanks for the replies. Most of the advice is to keep doing what I have been doing, so I guess it's back to Feather farming! Best of luck to you all as well, and maybe I'll meet you in GW2
