Another HoM questions thread

Hi everyone, i have a couple of questions regarding the HoM.

1) If i transer my pg from elona to tyria and do te quests from there till the end, willi get the statue for completing the story or do i have to backtrack in old ascalon?

2) if i link my account to my gw2 account will i be able to continue farming HoM points or i will be stuck with the points reached so far?

If you press H (I think) it should show you your progress in Prophecies missions etc. if you want the title for completing all the missions then yes you will have to backtrack. Would be too easy to create a Nightfall character and skip all the missions up to LA and would be sorely abused if it was possible.

At first I read that once GW2 came out HoM would be frozen but that was either from an unreliable source or Anet realised about losing potential sales. I'm 99% sure you can work on your HoM in GW once GW2 is released.

Short answer, yes you can get the statue for finishing the storyline with your Paragon.

Slightly longer answer:

Toons can cross to other campaigns to complete them for the titles.

That said, there are three titles per campaign you can get....

1. Eternal Hero, for completing the final mission in a campaign (with missions skipped)
2. Protector, for completing all missions from the beginner area to the end in Normal Mode (with bonus objectives)
3. Guardian, for completing all missions from beginning to end in Hard Mode (with bonus objectives)

According to Anet you can continue to earn and dedicate titles/minis/etc. to HoM from now until after the launch of GW2. There is no (known) cut-off that I know of for earning and HoM-ing achievements in GW1 at present. As long as you don't delete the toon with the accomplishment before dedicating to their HoM you're set.

This is correct. But I recall them saying somewhere (CBA to look up the source) that they don't intend to leave it open forever. It'll be cut off at a time 'to be determined.' (Or it won't -- this is ANet we're talking about here... )

Skipping missions: Just a small note to add. Due to the fact that for eternal hero you only need to finish the last mission in the campaign and cause most missions in prophecy's can be skipped it is possible to get that statue with doing only the last 4 missions. You'll miss out a lot of story though and need to walk/fight a long way to get to the right place.

that's not a big deal. I've already reached 30/50, that's for helping a frind of mine, who only wants to reach the cat at lvl 9.
