Wayfarer's glitch

Well, I just got a nice kick in the azz for my going away present.

Had already received the proofs for Tyria, Cantha and Elona and was working on the last part of the EotN one, which was the blood stone. I made the same assumption as most, doing the quest version of the blood stone instead of the dungeon version. After reading the solution here in the forums, went back and completed the dungeon version, checked the quest log which had all items marked out and the message "see so-and-so for your reward."

I flashed back over to the Eye, talked to the quest reward and thought I was done, but then noticed I didn't receive Proof of Mountains. Checked the chat notes and saw that I didn't receive it because my inventory was full. So, I freed up a space, went back to get final proof and got:

Nothing!! The message was the "I'll be on my way" since there was no quest remaining and I guess no reward to get. Went to Embark Beach thinking it will work okay there, but nope. She wants the fourth proof that I can no longer get and I can't even get the quest chain to start over again to earn it over a second time.

I also totally exited the program and then logged back in with no luck. So I appear to be stuck without the final proof and no way to get the reward from him or start the quest chain over unless someone has some ideas on what to try next. The problem was caused by a full inventory but I don't understand why it didn't save the quest reward for after I cleaned the inventory or won't let me have the quest since I never received the proof.

Any help or ideas out there please?

It seems strange to me that neither let u take the rewards again, neither the item is in your inventary. Check again, then send a bug report to ANet.

This is your way im guessing - gadds to sparkfly then into dungeon ...
Its wrong - you have to speak to npc in gadds who gives a quest - crystal method ( ithink its that ) and then go and enter dungeon.

That dungeon is what i call 2 sided - 1 side is the mission got from outside ( the repeat part ) , other side is getting the quest to access it fully explorable.

I didn't know people walked around with full inventories. Do you usually get quest rewards when you turn in the quest with a full inventory?

No, you don't, and that's what the problem is here. When the OP returned to cash in the quest after clearing some inventory, the quest appeared completed and no reward was present in the inventory.

Submit a ticket to support. It sucks, but hopefully something good will come of it.

yeah it is a known bug, so file a report, they prolly have a workaround. just make sure you have an empty inventory so support can place the item in it

One that bloodstone quest. Ugh, just ugh, of all the places in EotN they could have picked, they sent you to a completely forgettable dark hole that is a pain in the asura to get to. Thne many people find they have to do it twice because they did the mission version. Pants ANET, pants! They just wanted to make you suffer.

you can get there by avoiding any mob on the way (if you mean the route to the dungeon from gadd's encampment). Just after the portal hug the right hand wall and enter the trench there, follow the wall, at the end you might have to time your final run a lil bit but you can avoid agro (or if you hit agro just run and enter)

We've reset the Wayfarer quests yesterday so that you can now replay them if you experienced this weird behavior. A side-effect of this update is that the players who successfully completed these quests can now do them again, but will only received experience and gold.

and you will get the proofs again as well....(not that you can do anything with them...but as a certified packrat...gotta get'em all!!)

Yeah, I'm happy about it for this reason, too. I had already decided to save the proofs because I liked them more than the gift, but now I have the gift and the proofs. Yay!

Blah wish I saw this message this morning. Saw the quests pop up again, figured "oh hay, another tormented weapon", and then find out after doing them all again I got four spare proofs with no place to go.
