I am getting pop ups of threats detected on this site on each visit or refresh. This site only and I dare say its some form of scam to get game account info for GW2 accounts. Is anyone else getting these ? I am using Microsoft Security Essentials.

I was getting this last night each time I accessed guru. The threat was from some site called www.snipershide.com.

Thanks for the reports, everyone. We got a few reports last night and, at the time, I was informed that everything was fine. After an investigation, however, the issue was found and swiftly taken care of. I'm told that the database was not compromised. I will update when and if there is more info.

I have just been informed that our database has in fact been compromised. Here is the statement I have issued:

It has come to our attention that there was a recent attempt to access data stored on the GWG server. The exploit was dealt with quickly, but not before the database had been accessed by an unknown third party. The exploit was injected through our old, out-dated auction software. The security hole has been plugged and we will be looking into ways to make sure this never happens again. [Note: This breach does not affect accounts on GW2G.]
I apologize for this happening and want you to know that we take this very seriously. Thank you to those that reported the issue earlier in the week. I also want to remind everyone to be diligent in your personal online security. Remember to change your password regularly (now would be a good time) and to make sure you don't use the same login information for your forum and game accounts.

For some reason Igot a big red screen when visiting guru that "it has been reported as an attack site". Naturally I ignored the "warning" as I know it's not. However, I guess internet denizens have reported guru for some reason, whatever that may be.
