Carto / Texmod / Umod et al

Hi All,

A few years ago I resorted to Texmod to find those last couple of % to get my Carto title in Tyria. Everything worked fine & I got my first mapping title.
I've just decided to revisit Texmod to complete Elona and hit my problem - It doesnt seem to work anymore

Ive searched Guru for info,
tried info found in Texmod threads,
tried the Umod threads (that one didnt work at all for me - Issue with an installer or something)
tried other peoples mods - Dromod thru Texmod

Nothing seems to work. I know I am on a rather old set-up (WinXP, laptop & PC are both about 5 years old) but it puzzles me that something that worked 2 years ago on my set-up won't work now.

Any suggestions/links, that anyone could give me would be gratefully appreciated.

I am currently playing the game with the cartography mod loaded through texmod, and can confirm that it definitely works. Occasionally when the game updates and then re-loads, the mod doesn't load as it has been re-loaded through the client itself rather than texmod. Other than that occasion, I have no other issues with it. I am using the cartography made easy mod, which includes all areas (including EOTN).

I'm not really sure what to suggest, or what would specifically stop it from working. I assume you're selecting the gw.exe executable on texmod, rather than a shortcut? It may cause the problems you're describing if the shortcut it booting the game rather than texmod, but I can't confirm this.

Also, ensure you're running texmod in 'package mode'. I'm sure you're already doing this anyway, but gotta check

I think the version I am using is 0.9b.

Hope you find a fix for it.

if you havent played in a while...and there was an update while you loaded thru texmod--it wont work...try, letting all the updates load, then try texmod again.
I have an old computer as well and an old copy of texmod--both still work to this day

Thanks for the replies & suggestions both - I did the '-image' GW load to ensure I had everything up to date but no joy.

I then randomly decided to try & reload the Tyria/Prophecies *.TPF file and lo & behold it worked !!! (albeit a bit strangely on a couple of areas which I think may be since the addition of EOTN on the map)

I'm guessing that my issue may lie with outdated/poss.faulty *.tpf files.

Could anyone suggest the best place to locate an updated carto file ? Ideally the "cartography made easy mod" that ibiris mentioned

Update - found the file - tried it - works perfect - off mapping now

Can anyone help i dont have the texmod program, and i dont know how to find it... Sorry to be a pain in game name Caterina Aria. I have managed to get Canthan at 99.1% Elonian at 97.4% and Tyrian at 95.5% on my own bit its the little bits i cant find now without help.
