I mainly play my Me/E, so I haven't experimented with other classes. For the LDoA title, which professions do you think would be best?
I would normally go with Assassins for PvE killing, but as they don't exist in Prophecies, I'm not sure which professions are the best for murdering a lot of enemies in succession as quickly as possible for the grinding portions.
Best professions for LDoA?

I've done LDoA on a number of characters and Ranger was definitely the easiest.
You got +30 armor vs. elemental dmg, good against all Vanguard spawned Bandit Firestarters. Use Fire Imp to take aggro, stand back and pick mobs of. Especially with with Ignite Armor vs mobs. If /w secondary and while not taking damage, Frenzy is a good skill on your bar as well. Just don't bring Power Shot on higher levels, it's armor ignoring damage becomes inferior at higher levels.
Necromancer is quite good as well once you reach higher levels. Imostly used Blood Magic at low levels, while Death Magic obliterate your foes at higher levels. Deathly Swarm at high level will decimate your foes.
Smiting Monk should be quite good as well, especially against undead vanguard foes. Breeze to counter the heavy degen while smite dealing double damage. Shielding Hands can make you virtually immune in some locations.
Didn't play Mesmer but can imagine the buffed Empathy skill will be worth gold as both damage and protection skill. However only single target.
Buffed Fire Storm if ele.

I did mine on a monk with a pet
eles also have a good healing (attunement)
been leveling up a necro as well--minions help mitigate some damage you would normally be getting.
rangers have better armor (as do warriors) but I never liked melee characters.
so I guess the best is.....which one you want to play since you are going to be playing for quite some time.

Hmmm, k then.
I forget--even though LDoA is character-based, as long as I haven't gotten it on another character, it counts as a title towards Honor/GWAMM right?

Yes, that's fine. It's even possible to dedicate it without having to actually travel to the HoM. Simply talk to Kimmes the Historian in Ascalon City (pre searing) to save yourself some effort.

I've done mine as an Monk/Elementalist.
Perfect for healing : you can get some cool skill as a monk.
Perfect for damages: fire ele is very powerful, add a fire imp and you can go solo charr.

I think best is ranger/something (can't recall what secondary I gave to my perma-pre, either necro or mesmer or monk), or otherway ranger as secondary, since the pet really helps. Bonus of ranger primary as said is good armor.
I did LdoA with El/N and it was kinda annoying being squishy.
